Plans for the future

 

As plenty  are leaving Tanki due to it's latest updates and it's time-consuming to browse through all ideas in the Ideas and Suggestions section, this solution can do more than curing. This idea is known as the Ideas and Suggestions moderator ( or I & S mod), relatively similar to the function a forum moderator does, the power of the I & S moderator  limits only to the Ideas and Suggestion section. These are tankmen/tankwomen who look at a situation's pros and cons before  coming to a decision.

 

How the system works

 

When a player creates a topic in the Ideas and Suggestions section, the topic is not posted then. It is sent to the I & S moderator who shares it with his group and comes to a conclusion whether or not let the topic have the topic posted in the section.  If the topic is a duplicate of another topic or exhibit valueless idea(s), the moderator strikes the appropriate button and hits 'okay', the topic will not be posted and a message notifying of this action is sent to the topic's owner. If an idea is valuable it is posted in and the owner is automatically notified. After posting, a specific  time would be given for the other players to have their say in this idea, after that the team again analyses and see if the feedbacks from other players are useful in helping the game, they send it to the community manager who would translate it into Russian and forward to the developer team. Ideas that come from the other communities through the same process is then  again analysed and the most useful ones are enacted! In this way, Tanki would not have to face a mass exodus of it's players.

Firstly, the copyrighted bit... an idea is for everyone. And the first to post the idea, is always kept as the original idea poster, as Forum Mods merge the topics, and he who originally stated the idea is moved to the first post, simple logic. Secondly, while the idea does sound alright... Moderators don't analyze if a idea should be implemented into the game, we simply keep the section clean, and remove pointless ideas, ideas that defeat the direction the Developers are moving in, or duplicate ideas through merging. These are simply my thoughts, and as of present, I don't think I have a position on the matter regarding this idea.

As with the Violators' section, this would be a very good option to have, and My Idea goes well with this.

My only problem is, 3-4 topics in this section are created every day, and the Moderators might get overloaded.

It would make things more organized but it isn't really needed at the current moment. The developers aren't really interested in any major ideas because that are busy with the unity version and implementing new suggestions would use valuable time. But an I&S moderator will certainly be useful after the unity version of tanki will be released. It will probably have to be someone who is in close contact with the developers and understands the fundamental game mechanics.

3-4 topics in this section are created every day

More like 15-20... But the amount of time it takes to sort them all isn't actually that much, so all we need is just another moderator, who would be interested in sorting this section.

I agree, we do not need a moderator to only word in this section, as this system has been tested and was inefficient. Moreover, unless the moderator is a Developer, he cannot decide whether to decline an idea or reject it by himself. We, the moderators, do not judge an idea, we simply remove all useless and / or rule breaking ones, to keep the section clean if a Dev decided to take a look sometime.

Hmm... really interesting. I think this mods should select few good ideas and submit it before the developers so that they can know what the community wants and this prevents the useless updates made. And then the group of developers discuss it among them and make few correction which can improve the ideas to its core. Then they can can ask the community to vote for it or against it for only short period of time like only 3 days. By this they can analyse the interest of the tankers and can make these updates.

 

So the tankers can have a nice time enjoying their game with the preferred and suitable updates they wanted. Though the tankers who are against it has a disadvantage in this situation. But a tanker can never always be in a disadvantageous situation as when he votes for a update that he things could be suitable for the community and him here he can have a advantage. 

 

So one will always no be in a disadvantageous situation. By this the tankers interest in the game will increase and they will play it happily without quitting the game. So the developers can prevent people from leaving this game. Thus this game will become more popular than ever...

After all whom made this game more popular and whom is playing it. Its us who play and makes it popular so i think developer's should at-least consider our request. I agree they don't have time to see all these non-stop ideas given by different players from different community but they appoint as assistant for them ( that is a mod). So they can have a clear picture about what we players want.

 

And if a request is popular in some other community they can't just implement it here as well. They should know whether it is popular here. So they can conduct a vote. Always En communities preference may deffer from Ru community. But if one idea is popular in Ru community and it is not so in En community means they can do it like this.

 

If that idea gathers at-least 1/4 of the voters wish they can implement it. As they can't make updates separate updates for different communities.

By this process at-least some players will be happy and not all will get agitated.
