lol thunder m4, you do not see the effect of the splash damage, i think they removed it 95%, i was testing it, no effect at all when two players are close. Smoky is the turret which is op. The critical damage should be removed.

its range is like you are using m0 turrets to kill long distance enemy.

I can understand why you would want to narrow down discussions to smoky/thunder - there are similarities in range and shooting style. Ultimately it's the differences in playing style that make it unfair to compare both weapons beyond a point.

 

I disagree on both points brought up.

 

1. Smoky is more versatile than thunder. It is not stronger than thunder. It may not be immediately apparent how pricey that is. Yes, you need to MU thunder. Stock thunder/isida is purposely kept low-key I believe so that they are still dealable at the sensitive ranks they unlock. Thunder is much much cheaper all the way to M4.

 

2. If I'm not mistaken, smoky has the most number of protection modules working against it currently. Check the section "Number of protections from each turret" at this link-

the only difference is that, smoky critical damage should be removed and increase smoky paints more. You enter your garage, only modules of thunder you have, this is not fair.

Completely agree, got the thunder m4 in another account and it is BAD! SO BAD! 78-110 roll damage, 2.50 seconds reload time (ridicolous) the balanced paramters for thunder are these: (if you want to say that other weapons are not op and the thunder is ok ^^) damage 100-115 (or 120) reload 2 seconds or 2.25 seconds other things are fine, just these 2 parameters need to be buffed a LOT. The new "Thunder" here is the hammer (m4, has 111.0 damage, NOT ROLL DAMAGE even more than the max roll damage of the actual thunder m4 then less than 2 seconds reload, or a bit more if you want to say it; and then again a damage output that is ridicolous , 333 damage in less than 5 second), how should be feeling a thunder player that love his weapon from when it was introduced in the game and then it appears a stupid shotgun that is even more overpower? freaking does a lot of damage even at medium range! Protection paints against hammer are also useless, a module that has less than 25% protection from hammer is useless, the damage doesn't change, people still oneshot you with double damage, also 25%+ damage protections are not so helpfull, tough the hammer deals a lot of damage in a ridicoulous amount of time. Thunder also is so bad cause can't face any weapon, ANY weapon, you could do something maybe against a freeze/firebird, a shaft or a non expert railgun player (but whatever, usually railgun players use light hulls with 50% thunder protection and shaft have paints like prodigi or picasso, freeze/firebirds if are not in little maps have always paint protection from thunder: an example? clay module) but i'm not done yet i don't know if many of you guys noticed it but the smoky does NOT have any reload parameter in the information panel, tough the m4 smoky has a reload that is way faster than smoky m3, less than 1 second, + the critical hit+ op damage, i don't know why all the weapons can face each other if m4, but the thunder is the only one that sucks, can't do nothing, thunder is funny only at low ranks vs light hulls then it becomes useless, other weapons that are too overpowered are: twins, hammer, smoky and ricochet, so if you want these to stay like they are now it's better to buff the thunder, of if you want the thunder stay like it is now you have to nerf all these i said, so the game will be balanced

with all these thunder paints, enter any battle, press tab nearly all have thunder paints over 20, 35 protection. Just change and see the effect when you take smoky, hardly any have that paints. Why?????? There is no good balance in the game. Tanki only ruin thunder. You think reload 2.50 is good to play with low splash damage and damage. The long range is very poor, you cannot kill even over long distance, its damage decrease. Smoky, you shoot any range, its damage is the same, this discrimination between thunder and smoky have unfortunately ruin thunder completely in the game.

Thunder must be fix. Very bad turrets now. There is too many thunder paints with very high protection.

There are too many paints of thunder in the game. You take thunder and go in any game and press tab and boom. 3/4 have protection of thunder paints with over 25 and above. You take your thunder m3, play in such places its like using thunder m2. With the new system alt, pay 100 000, thunder is like smoky m2. What the real change for thunder?????

But M4 thunder has a HUGE AF improvement. It's worth it, as all M4s are supposedly balanced. Same with M4 freeze

Don't forge M4 Isida. That thing is an absolute nightmare to face :P

I agree thunder is underpowered, but its really hard to decide if its a good idea to bring back the old thunder. It will be too strong and ''OP'' being out of balance with other turrets. luckily the new update has come to fix everything :)

So shouldn't the numbers be averaged between what is now and what was? That could be its new specs.

Its balanced if you use the alterations. If you like power than keep your thunder how it is. If you like quick reloading than use alterations and have less power. If you would like everything in your thunder to increase use upgrades. This new update is good Tanki finally did a good update, its fair and balanced.

I can definitely see where you are coming from and if there is self damage from that there should be self damage from all the other turrets as well even if it is a bit that would definitely make it fairer

C'mon! How many times have you been beaten by a thunder? Even in any map? How many times a thunder drugger basically destroyed you?

 

I don't have because I couldn't buy.  :(

try thunder in our rank in pro battle, you will then know how weak it is or take thunder in any battle and press tab button, you will get a result of all these over 25 thunder protection. that enough to make you go to garage and change your turret.

for m2 rank, thunder is very good, but for m3, it indeed very bad.

Thunder druggers are way more annoying than many other druggers. 

And whay you say is due to battle types. There is not enough thunder battle. It is very good at its respected battles.

See update list for info. Thunder should become a lot more powerful soon as it has supposedly been made equivalent to all other M3 turrets.
