Tank Viewer not working

 Share

Recommended Posts

My dad and I downloaded tank viewer and the latest version of flash player, extracted the files, and I made a custom paint, gave it a name, put it on the config. But whenever we click on tank viewer, the screen is just black, no custom paint or tank or anything. If you have any solutions or suggestions, please post them here.

Get a new picture (it can be anything), copy and paste it in the "Data" --> "Colormaps".

Make it with the name you like,

Then, go to the config file, open with Notepad or any other program (that is like Notepad) --> go to this line

copy it, then paste it exactly below it

Then change the "Moonwalker" to "Hi" or the EXACT copy of the name of the picture (keep everything else the same).

Close Notepad and save the file.

Open Tank Viewer and see your new paint

Thanks lordmostafa. :)

I did all that, and I click tankveiwer and look what happens

Use Chrome or Firefox. IMO, they work better with Flash player. Speaking of that, make sure you have the latest version of Flash. :)

Saeed is right, the best thing to do would be copying the whole line in your config file and paste it.

If you wish to have custom paints, what I would do is to name them by number, it'll definitely decrease the risk of putting a different code than the actual name of your paint > causing the program to stop working completely.

Before my hard drive failed, I had more than 150 custom paints stored in Tankviewer; all by number.

There should be a stock custom paint collection in Tankviewer when you download it, just save your future stuff there.

Now that yours is not working anymore, it's pretty difficult to spot the error you made in the config file. (if you find it though, you're done) Best thing to do would be re-installing Tankviewer. Make sure you save your custom texture somewhere else and later add it again. Otherwise you'll lose that one too ofcourse.

The .SWF is Abode shockwave player, which you can download here.
