This certainly has the potential to be a practical add-on to the game. Hopefully, just hopefully though, the fine line between nationalism and patriotism would not be blurred in the pure fun of competition (if this is implemented).

One problem is discrimination... people's anonymity is violated, and that may contradict Tanki's privacy policy.

I was thinking racism/discrimination would be a problem. Maybe instead of this update, it could be changed to that you can see what language they speak. So when you open up the scoreboard it would say

 

Nickname        Language Destroys   losses      D/L

Good idea as long as it is the Tanker him/herself who decides if he wants that

flag depicted or not.

If two or more countries have political turmoil or even worse with each other

it might not be the best idea to show your countries flag.

 

Also it should be the Tankers choice which country he wants to represent.

An English Tanker living in Spain may want to fight under the British flag and

vice versa a Spanish Tanker living in England may want to fight under the

Spanish flag.

 

As long as the Tanker is in charge I fully support this idea!

I can imagine a Polish person joining a battle with every other player being a Russian...

 

 

Anyway, a great idea. One question: How would you set your country via E-mail? Would the country you are in affect your flag? I think it would be easier if you can enter your nationality somewhere like your settings and perhaps it could also be optional.

And other than that, a lot of people are bi-lingual, so displaying the languages of a person who, for example, speaks 5 languages, would be very difficult.

Hi title self explanatory. When pressing tab and also near HUD near nickname of the player.

 

Benefits: no need to say,we can find friends faster and also organize national tournaments;world cup.

 

It can be much easier to find teammates and talk to them on Skype while playing.
