well no need to add flags as some players just dont want to tell their country name..

If you don't want others to know your country, you simply need to not specify it when you register. I'm sure there would be a setting to make the flag visible or not.

I kinda agree with the minority of posters here that this could be negative in terms of provoking nationalist and political divides. Think about, for example, the possibility of players having the flag of Israel next to their usernames attracting unpleasant comments.

 

Identifying players by their nationalities could just serve to highlight prejudices. I could definitely imagine such a feature being abused by trolls.

With the server unification I am now finding it very difficult to communicate in battles as the common language is normally Russian.

Displaying the players country flag would allow me to possibly find battles with a larger number of UK players in.

 

I realise that people often speak foreign languages also but if i see a battle with 90% Russian players there is a fair chance they will be communicating in Russian.

 

I'm not a big talker in battles but it certainly benefits gameplay if i can communicate with my teamates.

My idea is to add a small tag or flag on perhaps the left or right of a players username so that you can know what country they are from.

This image could be viewed in chat, a player's profile, and during battle.

 

This feature would be optional and would be invisible if a player has/d not enabled it.

I like this idea but people will just abuse it and post different countries because they are embarrassed at where they are from. I see a lot of Arabs and Indians lying about where they are from so I think if this idea is implemented within the game then the flag put on their profile should be based on the IP address.

It must be implemented. Its hard to find my country players.

This would increase the chance of finding my or your country players.

Tanki could also make an algorithm to analyze their chat messages and determine which country they live in based on the language and wording they usually use.

My bad.

You don't need a flag on your head to meet people. Also you can meet people on the chatt, just say Hi in your own language and then chat.
