Internet drops for 8 - 60 seconds

Recommended Posts

I have a very good ping, my ping is 4. But once in the several minutes my internet connection drops for 8 - 60 seconds and I got to refresh. People call me mult, cheater, hacker. Because when I lag, it looks like I teleport and have speed hack.

AbsoluteOmega, he sits next to me playing Tanki also and we have the same problem excact at the same time. Does anybody have a solution for this? I want to join a clan and already trained 6 months at XP but this lag won't let me play wars.

I need help and fast.

This is a problem from your internet's side. You are probably losing packets while playing and that disconnects you from the internet. If you are using a wireless connection, try resetting your router/modem (by inserting a pin in a specific part of the modem). Try to connect to the internet without using a router. It would be best if you use a wired connection. Try reconnecting the wires, or getting new wires completely. If these don't help out, ask your service provider to replace your modem. Search other ways for reducing packet loss on the internet, I'm just really sleepy right now to search them up :$

Nailed the responce through and through, 10 out of 10 :)

Yes, the main issue is with the service providers, even when playing other games

I sometimes get disconnected the same way as I do in Tanki Online. Having a wireless

or wired connection doesn't help, the main obstacle is the router, and you just have to

put up with it like I do, because even though I changed my router TWICE, I'm still

experiencing the same problem and have to reset my router several times during

the day when I'm on a gaming marathon... Damn this 3rd world country, can't get

a stable connection with more than 1Mbps for more than an hour without it breaking,

and it doesn't help that I have the "high value packet"... X__X

PS EDIT: If it's not the router, than the problem is somewhere further down the line,

probably somewhere on the local switchboard (yea I had to use Google Translate to

actually find the term for it), in which case you definitely can't do anything about it

other than to relocate. This issue is mostly present with gamers from rural areas,

like myself, where the Internet coverage is heavily dependant on the phone lines

and recently spread DSL cables, which are more or less dated depending on

maintanance... That's why I love being in my city flat, nearly flawless connection

all day and all night long...

Yup, this is not a problem from Tanki's side.

You can contact your internet provider to see where the problem lies.

If the problem is because of your rooter/modem at your home:

-> You could try out to play some battles... and then reset/reboot your rooter/DLS model manually.

If it is a matter of the local switch on the other side of your phone wire (somewhere in the town)

-> then you can not do anything about it .. except for complaining to your service provider.

And then -> it would be good you do not mention the game as faulty usecase, but you mentiuon everything (browing gets stuck, youtube videos gets stuck, if it happens no page loads at all, ... whatever).

Take notes at which time of day you have this issue.. because maybe it is only during some busy hours when internet in your area is overloaded at all.

Usually the service provider can remotely measure your line parameters and check if your line is fine. If the line (the wire) itself is the problem, they can maybe switch your connection to a alternative line (there are usually some spare lines burried.. as wires or connectors tend to fail from time to time).

I know that it isnt the fault og the game, but I brought the problem here cause people actually know what I mean. The provider just added some wifi repeaters, doesnt help at all.
