How to prevent a Nightmare

 Share

Recommended Posts

You know.... This is just jokes, I do get light nightmares... I remember when I was walking over snakes and they where biting me...

I don't know what means to get a nightmare in close future since I've lost a bit of my life here - I don't sleep. Max I'd sleep for 24 hours is like 5 hours...

To not get nightmares you'd probably need something positive happening.... So let me give ya a example, if you love someone (girl/boy) think about them more, like when you're just before to switch off and sleep :D I always get fantasy of my love

Do you sweat or move in your sleep?

Sometimes I move, and room mates (if they are there) will say that I talk in my sleep often, but they can't understand it :/

last Monday night i kinda had a nightmare and like i was in a building and this is like during a zombie apocalypse any way there was one woman who said there was 2 zombies in the building and i ran off to go kill them but then when i saw the zombies i jumped out of a window and fell like 25 feet to the ground and lived then i woke up in relief because school dosen't start for 4 more hours so 4 more hours of blissful sleep.

I keep having this nightmare that I am grinding my teeth so much that I feel they are about to fall off, but I can't stop grinding. They never seem to fall out but it feels like they would

When I was small...I always used to dream of being on a super fast car and driving around a huge curb on a mountain and I always ended up crashing and going off the cliff and falling to my death. Good thing I woke up before I hit the ground. Weird thing is I could actually feal my stomach go up to my chest. Kinda like when you go down a steep slope on a rollercoaster. Worst feeling ever :c

Another odd dream I have is...when I dream and I see myself sleeping/dreaming. Super odd -.- I always wake up super tired.

If you want to fly in your dreams (these ones are the best, come on) you need to take the risk of getting a nightmare; and sleep on your back.

Write down on a piece of paper ''I'm going to fly'', ''I'm a pigeon'' or something similar several times before you're going to sleep... from my experience this works most of the time. You can even watch a video on youtube about birds (earth flight is pretty effective) or skydivers.

On the other hand, lying on your back does increase the change of getting a nightmare like Mr.Alpha stated.

If you're going to sleep on your side, you'll likely have boring dreams, or forget them when you wake up.

So be a pigeon..

^^ How to make your parents send you to a therapist.

Nightmares

We all had a nightmare once, without doubt. But how to prevent them? There are 2 Simple tips.

Do you have you bed in the middle of the room or close too a wall?

- If your bed is in the middle of your room, push it too a wall.

- If your bed is already next to a wall, Great job.

What is your position when you sleep?

- If you position is on your back, stop doing that, your dreams will be under influence of the area where you are looking at. (eyes can open automatic).

- If you are laying on your belly or side of your body with your eyed focused on the nearest wall, Great job your dream wont be under influence of your area.

Conclusion.

- Have your eyes foccused at a wall.

- Try not to move while you sleep.

Have a good night!!!!

I mostly get stomach aches when I lay on my stomach

Do people still have dreams? I can't remember the last time I had a dream/nightmare.

The average person has three to five dreams a night - just that in most cases, dreams are forgotten.

How would that be tested? MRI? Are you sure they are dreams or just random brain activity?

Let's define a dream in the context we're using it: a succession of images, thoughts, or emotions passing through the mind during sleep.

According to two sources (being Wikipedia and a ASAPScience video I watched on this a while back), dreams occur during rapid-eye movement - the stage of sleep where brain activity is high.

Based on what I've seen, I would say they're dreams, as opposed to random brain activity.
