New modification - M5

Recently I found out that many players already have a few fully-microupgraded M3, and I think that having M5 to come out as a separate modification will come in handy for Generissmos.

 

This is my idea:

M3 - Currently the maximum modification you can get without doing things like Micro upgrades

M4 - You can get M4 after you have been fully micro-upgrading M3

 

M5 - My idea for M5 modification is very different than M0~M4 modifications. 

What do I mean by M5?

  M5, in my idea, means a modification that has special abilities / skills that will entirely change the style of current game plays.  M4 will maximize the performance of the hull / turret, M5 let the turret / hull to have special skills that only high rank players like Marshal would be able to afford.  For example, when your hull reaches M4, M5 unlocks and you will be able to upgrade your hull and add an ability that can sometimes avoid flipping, or skills that can make your tank turns much faster.  However, unlocking those abilities aren't an easy task.  Whenever you try to unlock a skill, you need to reach over a specific score (Even if you are Generissmo), and once you reach the score, you can "buy" the skill and use it as a drug.  Or, if this would make the game unbalanced, maybe limit the ability drug so that you can only twice per day, each time for one hour.  

 

What if nobody can reach M5 because M4 is so expensive already?

  When this kind of problem happens, I suggest the developers to lower down the price of Micro-Upgrading M3 hull/turrets, but make the price for M5 skills high.  Doing this can make more players to reach M4 faster, and doing this can also keep some players from leaving the game.

 

You may think this idea is bad because....

  • Developers are too busy to work on this while they need to develop Unity
  • This will make the game un-balanced
  • The skills / ability are OP
  • Hey, only buyers can afford M4

All those things can be solved by..

  • When you think adding these kind of new things to the game will make gameplay unbalanced, why did Tanki add M3 in the first place then?
  • If you think the skills / abilities are OP, this does not mean that having the ability can let you takeover the entire battle.  The abilities can be adjusted by the amount of effectiveness, and limitation for using it fewer times per day.
  • The developers are very busy working on Unity, as everyone knows, but to make this game balanced to apply the new idea they just have to lower down the MU prices for M3 so that even non-buyers have a chance to reach M4.
  • This idea is for high rank players, as I said, because only them can afford some M4.

Ok, now that I'm done, here is why this idea was rejected:

M3s and their respective modifications are expensive already, and any M4, M5, or M6 would make the game itself way too expensive for any player. The Developers would have to re-work all the prices, ignore Unity, add new ranks, adjust stats, ignore Unity, and apologize to players who got a full M4 garage and spent all those crystals for nothing.  -_-

 

Did I mention that they would have to completely ignore Unity? :lol:

 

Next time, please use the search option as there were several topics created about his idea already. Trust me, it will save you time. ;)

 

By the way,

  • a perk to avoid flipping would be way too OP and completely ruin XP matches.
  • You idea to lower the price of M3-4 MUs is not sufficient enough to balance this all out.
  • "Buying skills" makes more supply users and too badly unbalanced gameplay.

Interesting I guess. Would it only be limited to one weapon and hull of choice? So that way it had to be your favorite combo? It would be a lot of work on the Tanki dev's team trying to sort out a range of special abilities for each hull, and each turret. Realistically if they were going to add something like this in, it would happen with the Unity version of Tanki Online coming out around December 2015.

Whats the ability and the specific details, that is left for the devs to think of, this is just an idea.  Yes, it might be a lot of work, but one thing that this idea is important because the ability and skills stuff can be easily applied on the new Tanki, and I guess will look good on Unity.

Also, the ability to avoid flipping is just an example, and I'm not meaning that you will be able to avoid flipping 100% at any place, but I mean the ability to make your tank more stable for a while as a drug.

Not as fast to get M5, as yo uare suggesting. Most will have to resort to buying just to keep up with the others. That IF the Developers don't add new ranks, which means the buyers get to play M5 vs M3.........

 

I am not saying that the devs need to rework everything, they don't need to add new ranks, they just need to adjust the price.

Trust me, if the price of more expensive equipment was lowered, everything else would have to lower as well. It's just like a train backing up, once the front moves back, they all have to to remain the same distance from each other.

 

and why don't you think that the current MU is quite expensive anyway?

It is very expensive, over 1,000,000 for M4 combo. But it is worth it. Lower the price, and M4 becomes just another step. Not the final goal.

 

Doing this won't make the game unbalance.

I have to say this idea would be rather interesting. however with more upgrades means more needed ranks, daily gift updates, garage adjustments, expensive prices, etc. although the idea would be fun, it would be to much works and to much of a game changer at the current moment that all attention would have to be focused on this etc.

Yes, that is true.  Think about it, a game cannot last very long without any new updates and new elements.

Yes, I have played my M2s against M4s before......can you guess what happened next? :rolleyes:

Actually, no. The game was separated into tiers, which meant that Tier 2 Turrets at M0 were stronger than Tier 1 M3 Turrets. Now that everything is balanced out, all Turrets are equal in battles.

Deeper meaning: Not everyone has to buy, because nothing is perfect.  My idea is mainly made for higher rank players, because so many have M3 at Marshal rank these days, and so many of them have M4 turrets already.

I.Zeus will m5 include the ability to add more damage for the turrets ?

The damage of the turrets should be already upgraded at M4

this is unnecessary & devs will have to inrtoduce some new ranks as well

this is only good for crys buyers

Of course it is unnecessary for you, you are not a Marshal yet lol

Yes what about after upgrading all the damage in m4 adding more damage steps in m5?

My idea for M5 is special skills and abilities like you would commonly see in other many video games.  Such has..ability to have a lower chance to get flipped, your paint can make you invisible for 5 sec....etc

This topic is for discussion, not exactly, it is for Ideas and Suggestions.  Look at the sentence, I'm not asking who made it, all of us know, its Tanki.  Tanki made M3 for higher rankers, because m2 can afford it.  My idea is M5 for players who have already played for a long time, because many of them have m4 already.  It is an equitation..

Yes good idea as for being flipped i think it's only an issue for light tanks less for hornet and more for wasp. being invisible that

is cool but that would change the game play drastically

wouldnot it create discrimination amongst the player?
