Able to edit colors of the turret

Recommended Posts

Hello Fellow Tankers,

Today, I have an idea to share with you guys. That is, being able to edit the colors of the turret.

For Example:

I have M2 Railgun and it shoots purple, right? I want to change its color into Red. All I'd do is go to my garage, click
"Edit your turret" And, there'd be a color bar like this:

Or, like this:

To color your turret's shooting won't be for free. It'll cost like 125 crystals or 150. Its not so expensive, but its worth the try. So, there'd also be a limit to change the color. Like 5 or 3. If the user did it instantly and STILL wants to change, sorry pal, but you gotta stick with it for a week or two.

I hope you guys like my idea.

So I can change M4 railgun's color to M0 one.

Or change my Isidas attack color to heal color, so my opponent will be surprised.

Or maybe change the shaft' lasers color( if possible) blue to red etc.

I guess you could say that. :P.

Bad idea. What if a railgun from far shoots me with an unusual color for it's modification? Let's say a railgun m1 user has changed the color to brown, which is originally railgun m3's color. Of course, if I don't have protection against railgun, I am going to run away to avoid getting a serious damage. So it will end up on players getting confused.

But isn't M3 Railgun's color like Yellow?

This could cause quite a bit of confusion differentiating between m0s, m1s, m2s, and m3s. After all, railgun isn't a close hand-to-hand combat type turret. Often times, you're firing from a pretty long distance. Players want to be able to tell what they are up against.

This idea applies for Shaft only, if used strategically.

For example, if you're a shaft and your flag has been stolen while you're sniping. If you see the flag thief who, suppose, is from the red team, you can change your shaft's laser color to red. Because it is red, the thief will think that a sniper from HIS team is protecting him and will shoot anyone who will probably try to get their flag back and kill the thief. But actually, you'll snipe the thief itself without him hiding.

MWA HA HA! That's the theory of 'EVIL'.

Campers will be blessed to change their laser color to match the enemy team

and snipe from the same hideout the entire game. Anyone on the enemy team

who gets sniped will obviously see the laser, but since the sniper is too far to

see the lifebar, there will be two instantaneous assumptions:

 - That's a friendly Shafter providing covering fire

 - That killshot they just died from came from somewhere else,

especially if it's a one-shot kill

Those assumptions will be exactly the same for anyone standing next to the

victim, so nobody will think twice to check upon it until all other alternatives

are eliminated one by one, and that takes forever...

In the end, event though it's just a cosmetic change and has nothing to do with

actual performance, it would benefit campers more than anyone else, and for that

reason, this idea isn't worth considering...

Personally I couldn't care less which color my beam is or the enemies, my

priority is to shoot the guy dead before he does the same to me, doesn't matter

if I achieve it using magic purple dust or ultra-black karate kick...

Why do you need colors if you already have paints?

Re-read the post. What I'm trying to say is that when a turret shoots, you could be able to edit its color.

LOL, you're Flappy's alt.

I dislike this idea. We will be unable to distinguish between modifications.

BUT, we can have shades of our modification's color! :D

Interesting,

Although we wouldn't be able to identify the modification of the turret by the shot.

It could cause a lot of chaos and confusion.

Would u plz answer a question,

Wouldnt it feel too odd....

Like a battle with around 20-25 players, all have their own different color...too much of dynamic lighting all around, with all of them of different colors...

+

As the current colors are fixed, when an enemy shoots at us, we get to know it at once, that which M is it, without actually observing the turret....and so, we immidiately think of a strategy that we should use to defeat that player...isnt it?

So many problems...

(1) As someone said, Shaft's laser is supposed to be red or blue, depending on the team, changing it to purple (for example), would make people crazy.

(2) A ton of turrets have modification colors. Like Railgun, it shouldn't be changed, because let's say I have M1 Railgun and change it to the colour of M3 Railgun. It would get confusing to others.

(3) It'd probably be weird to see random colors flying everywhere. Sorry.
