Why light tanks in most popular?

Hello Evevryone!

Throughout those years and months and days, we see that light hulls are the most played. Whenever Tanki create discounts on the hulls, the light hulls are the most vote!. If we see the battles carefully. We will see that there are 5% of the heavy hulls used for battles and gold boxes because they are not suitable for use skills. And the second reason it's very slow !. As especially when used in long battles maps.for example, if mammoth take the flag. it will need few seconds or minutes. Like the map (kungur) or (stadium) and other. Also at the time of the descent of the gold box. If the gold too far away, the Mammoth can not get away or catch up and take it. But medium hulls used by 35%. Because it is useful in the medium and short maps battles. And has been increased shield medium hulls to be used more. But some players also wanted in heavy hulls and light!. But unfortunately can not increase the heavy armor of hulls. And increased if it is difficult to destroy. But in light tanks see it's very fast. And it is not possible to increase the proportion of the tank shield and max speed. The question to be answered is:Why light hulls are most popular? Because light hulls are very useful in the long and medium-sized maps and maps of short battles. The second reason is that it is valid to use the skills in taking gold boxes and take the flags and it's used in parkour because it is light. Light hulls used by 60%

This is why: Bad noobs don't like slow tanks, so they choose a light hull. They like HP, so they choose Hornet. Since the noob uses Hornet until they become decent at the game, they realize they either don't want to or can't convert to a more viable hull.

Most people like light hulls because they want to get around the battlefield quickly- heavy hulls might be too "boring" for their tastes. When I first joined Tanki, I thought that Hunter was too slow, so I got Wasp and later Hornet. Nowadays, I use medium hulls a lot more often.

This games mechanisms gives light hulls an advantage. Developers wanted to balance it and ıt has changed a bit, but:

1. Easy to attack and run away. If you are using a light hull, you have a chance to choice it. If you are using a heavy hulli your opponent choices fight situation.

2. Easy to reach drugs, and lots of other things...

3. Someone has injected this idea to our brain :"Light hull=being pro!"  <_<  <_<   A kind of absurdity...

4. Heavy hulls need too much experience and knowledge, so beginners prefer light hulls.

What was the Wasp's old introduction sentence? "Good for beginners"

Solution? Make more situation for heaviers...

Remove laser( <_< ), add great camping weapons(like vulcan), make reasons to be a camper. Predictable drop zones, CP battles...

We still should add them. By the way, we should remove light ones power back.

I have mammoth but I don't use it generally. Because still I am not able to use it well, so sometimes I try and learn :)

But, for some special situations, I use it. Aso, I use Dictator. I can be a "rare" example. I like it!  :)

3. Someone has injected this idea to our brain :"Light hull=being pro!"

What's sad is that I haven't seen people counter the debuffs of light hulls using skill yet the majority of people shove this down our throat like it's the only thing there is.

Light tanks are the noobs' obvious and easiest choice.

They are widely used for take-flag-and-run on almost all maps ... а simple strategy , no brains required - collect some drops on the way and dash to enemy base (works even without having to use the turret)

Mid/heavy hulls demand more intelligence and beyond-the-average mastering of your gun and advanced gaming experience ... instead of foolishly running forth and back, the heavy one (a defender or a midfielder in 90% of all cases) has to evaluate the overall situation, the possible threats, the possible ways to counter an attack, how to support the team flag-carrier, how/when to use/activate the drugs (his own supplies btw, because there are seldom any free drops for the slow and heavy), etc, etc

This means to be constantly on the alert, to consider and act pro-actively and the teen TO plankton doesn't like to think that much;

on top, the heavy hulls still need even more armour (+10 to +20%) to compensate effectively for their lack of speed !

Well,I prefer hornet. If a heavy hull user finds a good camping spot(let's presume the player has a shaft) along with a few other light hull shafts makes the snipers invincible and is tough to break their formation without drugs. The important point is all hulls and guns are balanced.

Although, there should be a slight health increase for the heavy hulls because heavy hulls can be destroyed quite easily.I destroyed a titan and ricochet one using the circle shoot strategy. When effectively used, light hulls can destroy heavy hulls even in a duel.I do feel that light hulls are quite over-powered.I don't deny that heavy hulls when used effectively will destroy light hulls completely.

Coming to the medium hulls(i.e)Hunter and Viking and maybe Dictator, they are the best hulls for DMs and TDMs.Because the take and run strategy is not used. It's only used for CTFs thus making either Wasp,Hornet,Hunter the choice for capturing flags.

While playing in DMs,I encountered a Mammoth-Twins combination. That one owned the whole match. The second place was a Ricochet-Dictator combination.I got in the 6th place in a 14 player match due to the extreme lack of health of Hornet.I couldn't imagine what would have happened if I had brought a Wasp to the battle.

Thus, this is my conclusion:In DM,TDM or small maps,Heavy hulls are THE best.

In CTF,except for a camper, heavy hulls are not that good.Light hulls are THE best in CTF and large maps.

Medium hulls are suitable for both but are not THE best for anything.

I hope no offense is taken from my words.

Your reasoning is sound. Still, ever thought of Wasp dodging stuff? :P It's REALLY good at it, believe me.

Heavy hulls can be destroyed quite easily? Not sure...

Look how easily can be destroyed light hull - hammer without drugg kill wasp in 2 hits, shaft/rail often in 1 hit ^^

Mammoth m3 HP = 406, Wasp m3 HP = 149 HP ... It's more than 2x...

Heavy hulls are overpowered because HP drugs heal them to FULL HP POINTS, so wasp m3 gets like 120 hp, mammoth m3 gets like 380 hp...
