Image extension - explain?

I trying to post image with an URL it says 'Your not allowed to use this extension'

Well, that extension isn't allowed. What more surprising?

Hello

Only certain 'image extensions' are allowed on this forum. 

For example, Image Shack and Imgur are allowed. But pictures from most random websites aren't allowed, such as prntscr.com.

There is a way to get passed this. Right click on the image you want to post, click 'Copy Image', and go to Imgur.com. Click 'Upload', and then just press CTRL V. Once uploaded, just copy the new image's URL and use it on the forum.

If you are using lightshot, then do the following steps:

1. Copy Image location (of the picture after clicking the link)

2. Click "Image"

3. Remove the writing before the = Equals sign

4. And, voila! Your image gets posted without the error message.

I would recommend you to use tinypic instead of imgur, it's less complicated and its links work. Go to tinypic.com and upload your picture. After the upload is completed, this will appear:

 

 

Copy the "Direct Link for Layouts" and use it.

Some image extensions are too complicated, and sometimes any image that does that: Needs to be downloaded, and re-uploaded to one of the sites mentioned. I've also noticed that some images that are only uploaded to google sometimes don't work either.
