The most well answered, and probably easiest question. Although I wanted the time the railgun user fired (and so you need to take into account the shot delay), this wasn't explicit enough and so I also accepted 6 seconds.

Question 3 seemed to have caused the most trouble in general. An organised counting method works, and you can simplify the problem by noticing symmetry. Symmetry also tells you there must be an even number of paths!

By the way, the exact answer for question 1 is18, 9. (I wrote a program to calculate it.)
