It will happen: probably in about 5 billion years from now. The sun will get bigger and bigger so the temperature will rise and all water on earth will start evaporating (Kinda what happened to Venus) and float off into space ending all life as we know it or if we somehow manage to survive that, we will likely get engulfed by the sun anyway (Red giant phase). Practically, we're going to get chucked out of the habitable zone (Aka Goldilocks zone).

Dude man will be long gone and the earth will live on even if it's in particles floating in space........lol. What man needs to understand is that the earth is always at work reclaiming it's place. Have a nice day.

uhhhh well I think it's gonna be a long long time till the sun just dies already but people probaly wont even exist by the time the sun is dead :)
