So I bought myself a DSLR a few months ago, and I'm loving it.

I got up before sunrise one morning and took photos as the sun came up:

Mind sharing the camera info? Thinking of picking one up for myself.

Yeah, sure. I've got a Canon EOS 1200D (US version is called the Rebel T5) and an EF-S 18-55mm IS II lens. They come in a kit, so came together and was cheaper. It's the bottom of the range Canon DSLR so if your budget is bigger than mine you could think about getting something a little better (like a 700D) or an extra lens (I already want something bigger, like the EF-S 18-135mm IS STM).

Would you recommend getting that? Just going to be starting up so I wanna know if It's a good option for a my first DSLR.

Both the 1200D and the 700D are classed as 'Beginner' DSLRs, if I had the money, I would have gone for the 700D, but I've found the 1200D to be perfectly good for my needs as a beginner too, the whole point of these cameras is to get people started and learning about photography, then when you have the skills you can always move up to a better camera. I plan to keep the 1200D for a good few years (Partly due to lack of budget) and I will most likely get some more lenses before a new body. So either is good to start out with, it basically depends on budget.
