Trading madness, lost accounts [Facebook] ?

Recommended Posts

Hello Tankers.

Today i came up with one brilliant security idea.
i bet even you know that there is suspicious activity on facebook about tanki..
people swapping accounts, buying accounts, selling them

And so on, we can go like that forever but, what if there is a way to stop it?

i was thinking something like this..

Scammer: give acc
Player: ok, pass: 1234

and believe me, a lot of people lose their account like that, they are not Stupid and mults, they are just NEW to the game and they still need to learn a lot.

so the idea is some kind of a security software that will

stop someone from stealing your account.

1. Scammer somehow gets your password
2. he tries to enter, The Security software denies his access to account because he is entering from another Region / country , or even different IP address. so when the software denies his access it would

immediately contact an E-Mail that is attached to the account , give you a warning that someone is trying to enter your account, and give options

1. its me, don't reset password
or
2. change password

Because if you're on a holiday somewhere and want to play tanki, you would obviously need to chose the first one (its me, don't reset password)...
+ it would stop Game violators who like to share their account.

so please guys if you have time, tell me in the comments bellow what do you think? could this actually work?

Best Regards
-Spider

+1

What if you have no email linked to your account.

Thats why developers should make that everyone new who wants to register needs to put E-Mail address..

i mean really, things are getting out of control, more and more people losing their accounts everyday because they don't have E-mail attached.

Awesome! :D

I agree they should have you link a mandatory email when you first register.

What if you get a new computer?

That will kill the simplicity of "Just go to tankionline.com and make an account for free!". You see, everything they do would have pros and cons. If they make it so they need an E-mail to sign-in, it would help people to keep their accounts secure, but it will also deny many people from creating new accounts. However, I do agree with your idea.

What does the Facebook moderators do!?

NOTHING!.

the facebook mods regulate TO's official Facebook page. They can't infiltrate private pages even if they promote something illegal. They aren't the US government they're volunteers.

There was a time when Email was necessary to create an account. But it was removed, keeping in mind the necessity of keeping the registration simple.

Yea, but there was also that one day when developers were giving Rewards to those who linked their account to E-Mail, maybe they should do that more often so more people secure their accounts
