Several chat mod applicants wrote to me in the past, regarding our decision to not accept them due to their age. I replied that chat mods are dealing with a lot of violations and offences on daily bases, a lot of sexual and graphic ones, including various degrees of violence and harassment, and we have a moral obligation not to expose minors to such content, even if they want us to. Upon further consulting with their parents, they understood and thanked, saying they will apply again at some later point.

I agree with some opinions already stated in this topic - everyone in this game can be useful, and their help appreciated, but in accordance with their abilities. Which means that you don't have to be a developer or a chat mod in order to help this game :)

I agree to this. I know most of the player who age under 12-14 and  they want to become a helper! I replied so many times to become a facebook moderator but they always deny me and you know what the said every time! "You are not accepted due to low age". I agree with @Toby973. Well said however there are other jobs that are less likely to reveal sexual content eg FB mod which is a job that is more likely to suit younger players of the game. However, with any staff job be it on Tanki or on another game, there is going to be inappropriate content for every job available. Reporter has a lower "age limit" because it is writing and putting on contests and there is less chance of seeing any bad language as you are not moderating the chat/forum. With that in mind, you can still help the game in other ways as suggested a few times above without having to be a moderator.

I understand how certain adolescents can behave worse than a mature 12 year old but that is only a minority. Furthermore, it is not just about age. A 12 year old will be more obliged to do things when they are told to, however college students spend their time how they like and have enough time to dedicate to doing the job where a 12 year old may not.

you dont undertand, Ostrica has already mentioned that many people post VERY inapropriate things, that shouldnt be exposed to most at a  young age. The only reason we don't see this content is because a devoted group of mods hide it from us :) everything comes with age. Try again in a few years ;) i myself have made up my mind to apply after 5 years :P

one thing, bugs me.......doesnt tanki fb page have a password? Cuz if so.....it would be the worst possible job to give to 12 yr olds. Studies have shown that we 12 yr olds, arent the 'best' at keepin secrets :P

You can easily help out the community by helping others and reporting in the Chat and Game violators section. The moderators we have now, probably did not just apply for the paint. It is because they love to help people and they love for everyone to have the best time in Tanki they can. Some of the images/content that they deal with sometimes is probably inappropriate for kids along the age line of 12-13. Everyone in the game has a role in the community. If its not becoming a moderator, then it could be helping people in the forum/chat or reporting violators in the forum or in-game. Many chat moderators probably deal with a lot of graphic content daily thought out the day, so I see why there is a age limit in that category.

You can provide assistance to players ..

For example, you can help the players and report violators ..

But I think it's a little hard to be moderator if your age is 12 years ..

I hope that there will be a club for young people in the forum ..

What would be lovely would be more mods in the game, the amount of rule breakers and people who don't even  play is unimaginable!

 

Whats more annoying is people threatening to get you banned for lagging ._. 

or /vote you because you keep drugging and beating them , it makes me cry.

 

so it would be nice to have someone come in the game when someone breaks rules but most of the time no one can help ;( so i believe using kids, to help in this way in going into games and checking if hackers or mults are there and kicking them and since they're so many kids i think i would play in peace.

You don't need special powers to help tanki and players, everything you said can be done with a normal player account. For example, you can always report in violators section even without any power, and that's what you are supposed to do, mods will do the rest. And about helping others, well, there are tons of people in forum, chat and help site that need the help of an experienced player, just like a Generalissimo like you. Just follow topics and answer players' questions with your experience of game. I'm sure that everybody will appreciate it. And also, it's not nice to ask something in return, such as a special paint. Just help as much as you can and take the thanks of players and their happy faces as a prize - it worth a ton more than crystals or special paint.

This is an MMO game, not a dating site, gender should not matter nor your gender preference, sexuality, or sexual orientation. None of that matters. Yet they ask for your gender when applying for most positions. I would really like to understand why, as people like me prefer to keep there gender to themselves, and they should have that right when applying for positions.

They are all girls as Tanki is a game for anyone not just a game for boys. yele and Mia are a huge help to the community in so many big ways, Also, why use the color white? We can see your posts using automatic, old classic grey :P Why should you be afraid to say your gender?

If gender does not factor into any position, than why do they need to know what your gender is? which was my original question, which you did not actually answer. I use white because some people who are basically blind like me have a harder time reading grey against black... Which is why I change it to white.

It is not simply that. On becoming a staff member, each candidate receives several types of information which is not to be shared among others. Since some players have the thrill of sharing one 'happy' news to everyone unnecessarily, one cannot be too sure to hire.

 

Besides, FB moderators are not full of adults or high aged members too much. Young players are most certainly accepted by FBI as candidates. And trust me, he knows how to make the right decision when it comes to choosing a candidate.

Our application does not include gender-related questions. Nor an application for forum mods. Could you please let us know for which position you're explicitly asked which gender you are?
