Jobs for kids.

Jokes are funny. When they get over used they are not.

Your mom jokes were a fad for a while. Now people are starting to get fed up with them because of how often people use it. Also your jokes were funny when you first joined the club. Then they started getting old because we could not take anything you said seriously.

And what if I didn't want to be serious anyways?...

Yeah, helping out in a game contributes a lot to the world, doesn't it?. Anyway, sarcasm aside, there are better ways to do it. So many people in the world need real help. Teaching someone how to turn a turret or get their account back isn't solving any real life problem. I find it illogical how they're treated as benefactors of the society.

What if you can't help people in the real world? And spending time with homeless people, whilst being extremely generous, is not something everyone can or is willing to do. Small steps.

I am 13 and have always wanted to be part of the staff. Although it is true that you should not open new positions to give kids a job with the staff, there should be existing positions that are open to younger people. I know many people older than me who play and are much higher ranks yet they don't know the basic workings of the game or how different weapons or hulls work. In MY opinion it is maturity and knowledge that matters, not age (Of course, 5 year olds should not get a job on staff no matter how much they know about the game :)

Wat is the minimum age for becoming a Forum Moderator?

It depends on the whole application, not just about the age of the applicant. Age is a contributing factor, but there are other factors that are taken into consideration.

As LordVoIdemort already said, age is a contributing factor. There are a lot of other factors/requirements, but officially you should be (at least) 16.

I just read the topic until 4th page, but I want to add.

I see that to be a good player, you need older than 13. However, some jobs may need being more older.

I don't know much about reporter, but someone who can bann should be at least 15-16 because there may be some insults or sexual related comments etc.. shouldn't be punished by someone 13. Higher positions, such as forum administrators or game violators, needs high abilities and they may need someone even more older. As we think that being a game violator means having knowledge about how to spoil the game.

I've been playing games since 10 ( now I am 18 ), and I wouldn't give banning power to someone under 15-16.

Actually, I wouldn't give full bann power to any moderator, but anyway..  -_-

However, They are usualy older than 18 who spoils the game as you can consider you need power to do anythink.

I'm a 12 years old kid who wants to help the community but I'm still too young

Good idea!

I was 16 when I started. A few more years to go. I don't think there is a real minimum age for reporters.

To be honest, this is one of the best topics on Forum.

Well, it is nice from you to help in chat, but that won't make you a chat moderator.. Help because you want to help, without any payments. ;)

A "job" indicates that some sort of monetary compensation is involved. And being a moderator is not all that it is cracked up to be. Age wouldn't matter, it's the level of maturity and level-headedness. You are going to have some of those days where a heckler is going to test your "mod power" with pettiness and you will lose if you give in and ban that person - you may be seen as a power-monger or "god-mod". A lot of times you have to let the personal attacks slide because there is a bigger picture which you would be a part of. It is more responsibility and balance of being fair than just being an "angry and jealous god" of the pantheon.

If you help because you want to help, then do so. Sooner or later it will get noticed. How would I know? I was a moderator of a sports card forum for almost 10 years. I stepped down because time became more of a luxury for me as life went on.

But good luck to anyone who wishes to go forward in becoming an integral part of Tanki Online.

Becoming a Helper of TankiOnline does not necessarily consist on the age, although your age is very crucial to your maturity, for example a bad ban history is not acceptable, this shows that you are not mature enough to take the job. I don't think this topic was that necessary although there is a point to it but can easily be argued against...

I'll probably get so much hate for this but I'm expressing my opinion on this matter anyways.

Look guys, being a staff member requires a certain level of maturity which only age can get you, I applied for various staff positions multiple times in the past and always got denied due to age. If you guys actually want to help the community, then you won't care about the special paints or crystals, you can help the community in countless ways without being a member of the staff. I find it highly unlikely that this idea will actually be implemented, and the reason is quite obvious.

I don't agree, many people attain maturity at a short age, and they know they are right.

Yes, they do gain maturity at a certain age but then, their knowledge is still limited. People who are 16+ know how to act to situations. I myself am not 16, but I support the rule itself.

You are right in some way, but believe me, some kids know how to handle extreme situations. The only problem is that ALL can't. So yes, I do believe Tanki shouldn't take such risks.
