Mouse controls and changes in auto-aim mechanism

If you use Standalone Flash Player version 15 or 16, please update it to version 17 here. It will solve most of the issues you are facing with mouse controls.

i update it but nothing happened, still can't move my turret ...

Not sure if it's related to the recent mouse update, but I can no longer aim correctly with my shaft, the game is unusable. In sniper mode the crosshair is not centered on the screen but is offset top-left.

 

(the forum won't let me attach a screenshot, sorry).

  

I use an up-to-date Chrome 41.0.2272.118 m (64 bits).

Don't worry, you're not alone. Shaft's aim has now a mind of it's own :(

update for new players only..I doubt that anyone higher then wo1 will use this..especially old players whogot used to keyboard controls only..and again,this was unnecesearry update..updates like players in-game moderation,against hackers updates and all needed updates which could improve the game are not prior..sad moments (which are lasting at least 18 months back)

Congratulations to devs. You shafted the shaft users AGAIN. Shaft is completely unplayable due to aim havina a mind of its own and ignoring commands half the time. Fix this mess already.

Shaft is messed up completely, cant aim properly with keyboard controls. Better fix it quickly if u don,t wanna loose a player

I am playing tanki from 4 years with keyboard can't play with mouse and I also hate this update ok.. -_-

The next few lines are _only_ adressed to all

- that just throw in negative comments

- without a precise description of what they don't like

- and that spend no time on thinking how they would like to improve it

Maybe you can help by some hints on how to make it better, instead of flaming around!

 

And saying "remove the update" is not considered as a beneficial comment.

The idea of mouse controls is very beneficial for new players. And new players are important, if you old players want to continue to enjoy a free to play game. So on the long run it also benefits those players, that will not use it.

 

Tanki does not always makes everything right. But who of us never fails?

And consider that they are in an akward position.. cause they have to make updates that are liked by "most" of the targeted players.. but we all know you can never make it best to all.

 

It just feels ill to me, to have a game that can make so much fun.. and then many (not all!) the players turn to mindless haters instead of helping to get it better.

 

I for myself can test the new mousecontrols in the eavening, and will think about an improvement then.

And I feel sorry for you shafters and Isidas.. I'm sure they will solve that messed aimeing soon.

i have tried mousecontrol now few rounds and its working fine. i tried mammoth+shaft and it was awesome :D and hornet+twin it was actually better than i expect :D one request althougt... center button when using mouse control. C-button works but you have to press twice and wait when the turret is center and the you can use mouse again. but neverless this was a really good update. thank you :D

 

 

oh btw im using pc with win 7 ultimate+ logitech mk250 wireless keyboard+mouse and firefox browser ;)

Any ideas when mouse control is coming out for chrome or safari? 

 

Please we want it fast... I'm getting jealous of the windows players  :P

The problem while using mouse control I faced was the turret movement or position is not totally independent of hull rotations (sideways rotations).

The turret is moving fine using recent mouse control but when Hull is being moved the turret is also moving in that direction slowly then re adjusting itself to its prior posiotion. The control would have been much easier and comfortable if the turret was made completely independent of the hull rotations

The isida update is very weird  and irritating....ITs very annoying if the beam changes its position hundreds of times while aiming at a single enemy.....Plzzz bring back the previous update...

Does this update also change the way the camera view work because I feel extremely dizzy after 15 min battle just using keyboard control. So dizzy that I feel I'm going to throw up.

i notice the same. Mouse is faster than turret rotation (if the rotation is slow) and it come behind. It will be easier if there were crosshair/dott to aiming :)
