If the Shaft problem ain't fixed by tomorrow, I'm gonna lose my faith in the devs.

Why did they even release a very broken update? I expected more from them, especially after 2 months of testing

Just wondering but what is actually wrong? I have heard complaints with Shaft, so I have just tested it out and it works perfectly. I will try out Isida later too.

you dont know nothing.. stop talking like a noob that we call it.. you obviously have not tested shaft after the update and that too on various platforms (chrome, firefox, ie, standalone 15/16/17)

back in 2008-2010 i was running a customer/ technical services campaign for famous romanian antivirus suit "b*******er". they messed up big time with the new release and were getting negative feedback on all related forums on the net. so what did they do , they made their people go to various sites and started to post positive reviews.... this is called "snitching"

however since we were the tech guys, we knew exaclty what was going on...

the more you talk the more you sound like a "snitch" of the devs...

you are making no sence... you have everyting working fine for you on every bloody platform and these poor 500+ folks are lying just for the heck of it..

Savvy!!!!

ps: if you are online right  now come find me on ru2 and show me your prefectly working mouse update.. better if you make a video for everyone else to learn from you

Worst update of 2015 (so far). This new feature could have a lot of potential with just a little bug-fixing and optimization.

The fact this all these bugs went through the devs even after a whole MONTH of testing still blows my mind.

1. Involuntary movements with Shaft

2. Misplaced Scope on smaller windows.

3. Random sudden stoppage of fire during battles.

4. Mouse controls being unavailable on most browsers.

Waiting patiently for a fix.

Well if the devs don't manage to fix all these issues (I could understand that, I'm a developer too) then why don't they rollback to the previous version? I can't believe there is no way to do that, after all the changes are minor and don't affect the gameplay significantly. In the meantime all shaft-playing gamers no longer can participate in all the battles or benefit from the current promotions (90% off on pro battles for example). I hope that shaft owners will receive correct compensation for being grounded for several days.

Nice work developers! Keep working on such useless ***** updates while putting off issues that should be more important!

What's the point of gaining new mouse-preferring users when you can't keep your current users?!

I thought you were happy at first when you said,"Nice work, devs!" until I read your whole post. and I still didn't see that mouse control

There is a problem though, the isida animation is weird now, I don't like it, it keeps changing and it freaks me out. It made me think that my internet was slow, which it is, before I found out about the update, and for turrets with slow rotation, it is not that good, in my opinion. But plz fix the animation for isida, is looks wierd

I know, right!? I was like the same thing!!

SHAFT STILL BROKEN!

How difficult is it to implement "roll back to last version" when the new version doesn't work?

Do you not use source control?

Source control? You mean keeping back-ups of previous stable versions

so one can revert back at any given time?

Objectively speaking, I doubt they are even considering reverting back,

the main excuse being: "The update is just recently released, bugs were

expected and now we are in the process of fixing them."

Some of you mentioned that mouse controls have "opened a new level

of gameplay" or something like that, and I personally couldn't agree with

that statement, I already provided a detailed answer in one of my earlier

posts on this topic and I don't feel like repeating myself today.

From what I'm seeing, Tanki is starting to feel slightly broken, and Tanki's

forum is not far behind. People constantly report the same issues without

taking the time to check at least a fraction of the things mentioned in the

very topic they are posting in, so we end up repeating ourselves endlessly.

In my oppinion, mouse controls are unnecessary in Tanki, simply because

the keyboard is more than enough to work with. Who asked for them? Probably

those players who are used to the same old eternal shooter setup and are too

lazy to change their ways in order to play the game the way it was originally

ment to be played. Unfortunately, rather than ignoring these players, Tanki

Online is DESPERATE for new blood, and in that desperation it's trying to

appeal to as wide of an audience it possibly can...

Sorry to burst your bubble, dear developers, but when you try to appeal to

absolutely everybody who comes your way, spreading your focus all over

the place, you won't end up with satisfied "customers", but rather annoyed

ones, because no matter how large, how pretty and how tasty your cake is,

your slices are simply too thin to provide any norable satisfaction to everybody

at once. It's better to have a satisfied but smaller community than having

a larger but hazardous one...

PS... ...

======================================================

My beloved Tanki Online, you are not the only tank game on the

Internet, there are several more sophisticated games out there

capable of appealing to a wider audience then you will ever be

able to, so please pay attention. Those of us that keep complaining

about your issues only do so because we geniunely want to help

you improve. If we wanted to leave, we would have done so, there

is nothing stopping us other than the desire to help. Our happines

is your well-being, so please do tend to listen to our feedback more

than you currently do...

Lafya...

I will happily make a video for you guys. I am not a snitch, but I have worked as a commentator for Tanki, hence the reason why I am opposing this unnecessary hate, especially since I am finding nothing wrong with it.

I don't understand all the complaining. Since this update my kill ratio is higher and it's far easier to burn a pile of tanks with Firebird.

If you don't like the mouse then don't use it. I fail to understand how someone enables an option then whines about it when the default is "off"

I don't envy the developers - they have a tough job to do.

Also, building mouse controls, I just have to trust tanki that they did research before investing their time and money into this.

However,

1. Pushing out such a broken update is inexcusable. It takes only a minute of testing to know that the shaft is absolutely broken.

2. Insult to injury - their unwillingness to rollback this update, or provide a resolution - and it's been a significant time since they broke the game

So yes Tanki screwed up on this update big time.

But, there is a silver lining to everything -

I've had a lot more time in my day since Tanki broke LOL.

Maybe it's a sign from god  to give up on Tanki for my own sake :-)

It's just  a game guys, there are other games on this planet. Better ones that don't break, and remain broken. Screw tanki.

When did the shaft prob start ? I use Railgun :)

When will it be fixed ?

No shaft and a good way to control a long ranges gun.

Enjoy it for a short time :)

What exactly is this auto aim update about?

Since this update is online, my M2 wasp gets flipped every minute when I play against M3 rails.

The enemies hit my turret next to every time.

I cant imagine, that the skill of the players went up like that in the days I was absent.. so what exactly was this auto aim about ??

Please explain.

@Pheonix-Warbird: Kinda hard to avoid sometimes, especially when you actually click on the screen(Yeah you might not do that, but if you click the screen, automatically the Mouse Controls are enabled). People want this either fixed, or gone.
