Change this update back the only thing it done for me was want to quit playing the game.I have too much time and play invested to quit but if the changes stay that's what I will do.My scope is in the left corner while shafts still fires straight. It was my favorite turrent and was good at it now it just plain sucks.Stop making changes to things that are already working fine.

As a commentator, I suppose you use a supported browser and have the bug-free version of Shaft. Why some users with the exact same browser experience different conditions is one result of an overcomplicated hierarchy and a vast lack of quality control throughout the community. For the same reason, the moderators did not understand why the same people were committing the same violations again and again: the penalty was trivial and seldom enforced.

You really think that commentators are given "bug-free" versions of Shaft? That makes no sense as it will be exactly the same for everyone. As for the browser, I recorded this on a laptop I bought months after resigning as a commentator, so that is also false. The reference to the moderators and violations has nothing to do with this.

ok just watched it....

1- accuracy is so totally gone

2- you cant shoot turrets or tails or flips blah blah blah

3- delay in finding the target and shooting them -- the crosshair follows the mouse bracke (-----) thus causing a delay and it is fatal in gameplay

1- Then how was I able to kill if there was no accuracy?

2- That depends on the power of the shot, which has nothing to do with mouse controls

3- The devs added this for a reason, but I still manage to play well despite not playing for over 6 months and having these "problems."

Five.

What are they, because releasing to the whole public should be the last.

Database back-up and previous version of the code are two different stories. You might want to get familiar with "code merging" in google :D

Have you heard about Easter? This is a holiday.

Anyway, peak online will go down to 60k-70k players or lower despite of any updates, as it does every year during summer since this project went live 6 years ago. We always pay attention and there is nothing different in peak online behavior this year whatsoever. Besides, this is not wise to bring in players to this game if you can wait and give them all around better upcoming unity version of the game.

Keeping high peak online would be pointless burn of traffic without any clear value.

I see your Easter was this past weekend. I did not know that, but that only raises the question of why release a known bad update over a holiday. This explains why it has been so long waiting for a fix, your programmers are all on holiday too. If this is the case, it was not a very smart thing to do. But what do I know? I'm not a game designer, but logic dictates that you do not release an update that does not work as described and is full of bugs when you don't have the staff to fix it. Like I already said these stupid mistakes are bad for business, at least where I come from.

By the way, I'm not arguing with you. I'm trying to get you to understand what we, as players, are thinking. You have to admit that the success rate for the last few updates is pretty low. The players are losing faith, at least the ones that are not too naive to know any better.

To the people who, when using shaft, have their scope stuck in a corner, please do the following:

Exit full screen mode

Press the + key and make the Tanki screen full

Go back into full screen and play now

It should work, this was discovered by my friend @gamesworld23

If you are stuck I will post a video tommorow

I never play with full screen anyways, so leaving it isn't really possible :/

Hello Tankers!

Do you not have mouse controls? It's not an problem from Tanki Online.

This can be the following problems

1. You're [your] computer won't acces [access] /support it.

Mouse control missing on many browsers of the 2 "supported" types.

Major problems with some turrets moving erratically. Shaft ruined.

I don't think you have a solution for these problems. You just don't have these problems.

Hello,

Shaft is misbhaving also AFTER disabling mouse control.

1. Ever since the mouse control addition today - while not using mouse control (unchecked) Sometimes if on a hill, looking down/down and in an angle, and entering shaft zoom, the aim moves automatically down, or up... without pressing anything!  Can only regain control after pressing in the direction it started moving.

2. Sometimes after exiting shaft zoom after shooting and pressing a movement direction, when it exits, the turret will not move in a specific direction - or it just keeps turning in one direction.  only way to stop it from turning, is to press in that same direction.

I Can't play anymore!

3. This may have been a problem for a while.  In shaft zoom, if I want to move the aim diagonally, i.e. up and right...  it only works in 3 directions.

Up and RIGHT, DOWN and RIGHT, DOWN and LEFT

UP and LEFT does not work!  The only way is to press LEFT .... and then UP... or vice versa, and then hope the enemy hasn't escaped...

I'm using Firefox 38 on windows 7 on a laptop.

Happens to me too, I don't find it a problem though, probably because I am in a low rank

We are all happy for you. Now make us happy and take out the update if they can't fix it.

The reference to the moderators and violations has nothing to do with this.

I was speaking to the "culture of complacency" that I can now see is rife in the site operation. We suffer, they don't, so no problem.

Okay

we don't take the risk to retrain in these mouse controls. It happened with the New Physics and the Rebalance, people will learn to live with it eventually, but please, fix those bugs.

How about we just DON'T LIKE mouse controls? This isn't a training exercise where we have to get good at *everything* -- a 9 year old can play better than either of us. The point is not to screw up what people enjoy doing. Now go learn your mouse controls if you want to.

I will not learn to live with it eventually, thanks. I will just leave and spend my time and money somewhere else.

Hello tankers!

Today, Tanki has received yet another feature for you to play with — the mouse control option!

You can use your mouse for camera control, aiming and shooting. Mouse controls can be enabled by using the respective option in the game settings page.

You will then need to enter fullscreen mode. To do so, simple left-click anywhere inside the game area (not the interface) during a battle. You can also use the dedicated fullscreen button in the upper menu.

To make the cursor appear while using mouse controls, press and hold the TAB key.

We have also added the ability to control your camera without rotating the turret. This is a welcome change for fans of turrets that have a slow rotation speed. Holding the right mouse button allows you to look around without rotating your turret.

You can switch between keyboard-only and mouse controls at any moment. To do that, use the turret rotation keys or the left mouse button respectively.

The mouse is an alternative control option aimed at those who are just starting out with Tanki, or existing players who would like to try out something new. It’s an additional feature. It can be easily disabled in the settings to prevent any accidental clicks.

What you see in the game is not the final version of the feature. It will be improved further, to make it more stable and easier to use. Also, due to restrictions outside our control, this feature is currently not supported by Chrome and Safari browsers. If you would like to try out mouse controls and your browser prevents you from doing so, please install Firefox or Opera.

By the way, we have also made some changes to the auto-aim mechanism:

  • Isida now aims not at the center of an enemy tank, but at the closest point of it.
  • Turrets now better aim for small visible parts of enemy tanks at long distances.
  • Auto-aim mechanism has been optimized, which can lead to performance improvements in some cases.

That’s all for now. Time for you to try out mouse controls! Make sure you share your thoughts about this new feature in comments below. Your feedback will help us polish it to perfection.

Good luck on the battlefield, tankers!

i think that its hard to aim at anybody when the mouse doesnt apear on the screen

Well if you don't like, you could simply, I don't know...Turn it off? Mastering mouse controls gives challenge to people who actually want to use it.

It's your choice.

The point is not to screw up what people enjoy doing.

What do you mean "screwing up what people enjoy doing", you mean the bugs? Those weren't intended, they're already hard at work trying to fix them so hold your horses.

Next update scheduled this week.

Hello Tanki Developers!

This is a real problem for me, just because I don't know how to handle it....

Since the mouse control introduce or in the game my Shaft have serious problems that sometimes I want to smash my keyboard, because Shaft often turns or spin around by itself or points up and down... Especially when zoom out or make the screen smaller Shaft completely hit wrong spot that not the target where I want to hit.

Before the mouse control my game run as fast as a jet fly in the sky but just little Lag.

      ~^ :D^~

I used Chrome... I love to try new thing such as mouse control too but I didn't see it in the game. I only want to use Google Chrome...

Truly hope it gets fix soon

grouddefender   I will never smash my PC keyboard  :)

This is a cool update, but has problems, first of all, i'd like to note that it plays nicely, with around 45 fps, which is good for mouse support, when i use the mouse to sniper, the fps goes down a lot, is this normal for other tankers, or is this a bug for me?

*And for the tankers who use chrome, use firefox, its faster :D*

I like the new isida update, the graphics seemed to be "glitchy" as its starts to jump around, i noticed this mostly when a tank is using dictator and thunder.

Now i really think there should be a crosshair, that would make things much better, but the main thing is, is that this does not seem to make things easier for starters, but it makes them much *HARDER* for those who are starting to play tanki. Its hard to move your tank, when your turret is aiming the other direction. Mouse sensitivity is one large issue too, and i find myself having to "Flick" my mouse many times before I can aim on a target.

Fixes that could be done are large, but with patience and time (Awesome weapon in Destiny for all of you fans) this may become one of the greatest updates Tanki ever had (Well, no it would be pretty small, many players play on laptops, but i hope someone *Hem...erm Simeon* finds this helpful.

(Hopes to be a forum Mod)

Why window mouse mode has been removed?

Why aren't there sensitivity option?

How to play if the player wants to change controls quickly in the battle?

On previous model, mouse controls were a lot better...

Kindly fix the bug's in the game. Low fps and the ping is too much lags. The auto aim of railgun is not working and shaft. Every time you have new update's we suffer in the game of some issue.

.. I like the new isida update, the graphics seemed to be "glitchy" as its starts to jump around

I thought that is not a glitch, I thought this is the update :)

Seems to have to less hotspots at the tank to attach too.. so it will never become smooth.

Unfortunally this is very, very distracting..

The Beam would be fine if it either stays on one spot (center, turret, whatever) or if it moves across the hull smoothly.
