Isida: Heal vs Kill

Recommended Posts

I am no longer an Isida player, but when I was, I noticed that when I was in a group of tanks trying to destroy the enemy all at once I found that the Isida would not aim at the tank I wanted to destroy or heal. In other words I had almost no way to aim. Now my thought was: what if, when using Isida a key (shift for example) could switch the Isida from the yellow/red damaging beam to the blue/green healing beam. That way the Isida could choose to either heal their allies or help to damage opponents.

Any comments I would be happy to hear.

Declined

You don't really encounter this problem that often, so I don't feel like such a change is really necessary for Isida. Tanki Online aims to be really easy to play, with the tank controls being as simple as possible. Adding another key for Isida will make it a lot more complicated compared to other guns. This might be a good thing since at the moment Isida is too easy to play and therefore way too many people use it, but I don't think the developers will approve of having just one gun with extra controls...

That's a good point. I'm a low ranking player who has recently started using Isida and while I'm thoroughly enjoying the turret, I've already encountered this problem a few times. Now, I don't know whether or not it's because I'm just a noob or whether more people are having this issue. I think a switch button would be useful, and while it might take some getting used to, it could be like, "The ones who persist at getting Isida right WILL be unstoppable." You know?? Kinda like that. I personally think it would be a good idea. Anyway, opinions. They all count, right?

Point thy isida head at your desired tank

This will work sometimes. But when there is a group of tanks or maybe one tank on top of another(Let's take it like this.An enemy is under and your team mate is above them) What would happen at that situation? I feel that this idea can do good to starters and even other players too.

u should point your turret at the enemy like all the turrets & ද

But if you are in a group of tanks, how does the turret know which tank you want to hit? What if the desired target is behind another non-desired target? I admit this idea wont fix all the problems, but you can still decide if you want to heal allies in a fight, or damage enemies.

I've played Isida alot of times with Dic m3 when I was 3rd lieutenant and above, but I've never had this problem. I simply move the turret a little bit to the desired way if it isn't hitting the opponent/teammate I want to... Why are you getting this problem tho? O:

Often when many tanks are grouped together. Sometimes I would try to attack the enemy but my beam would jump to an ally because the tanks were so close together. If you started using Isida at 3rd lieutenant maybe the the higher ranks don't cluster so much as low ranks and so you haven't had the problem...

Yes I agree good point, but the point of my suggestion is not that Isida should have extra keys, but that Isida players should have some way of switching the priority of their gun: healing or killing.

isida is already powerful & this makes is OP so if u cant aim at a enemy properly thats your fault

I was 3rd lieutenant one and a half years ago lol,TO was small and players didn't very often grouop together unless in densely populated battles, but even then, just move your turret with Z and X if it's hitting an enemy tank and you want to heal an ally,it always helps xd Maybe also tell us what kind of hull you use? Because some hulls are low profiled and some are high, which makes it easier for the beam to snap on a further target when tanks are grouped...

i dislike this idea,if that be implemented,we need an option for railgun and shaft users to enable or disable penetrating power when

shooting,do developers have time to do that? -No,so besure this idea wont be impelemented.

Why would Shaft and Railgun players need that? And even if they did, would the devs NEED to implement it if the players don't want it?

Well, I don't use Isida anymore, but when I did... I think I used hornet. And what I'm saying is that maybe the tank you want to hit is on the other side of your teammate, for example, a Firebird who can damage you both. No amount of turning your turret will allow you to hit the enemy, since your teammate is in the way. Instead you will have to drive around him, by which time you will probably be soon destroyed.
