The way paints cover your tank

Recommended Posts

So yea this idea is pretty straight up/forward(or something like that) xD

I'm suggesting a different way for paints to cover your tank(hull+gun).

At the moment, the paint covers a big part of your tank, but the higher your modification goes, the more "grey" and "metalllic" or chrome parts are added to the tanks which the paints do NOT cover... I must say that the camouflage alot of paints give you are not usefull when you can see that the chrome parts that aren't covered.
.

What if they would cover most/some small parts of the chrome? Would it actually help the tank stay in cover and "unspotted" by enemy targets?
Well for me the question is easy: If it would cover most of the  grey parts it would greatly contribute to the effectiveness of the camouflage.
.

Maybe you should try comparing old graphics with new graphics, there were alot less grey parts, which made it easier for the paint to cover the tank. :)

Bye all xd

To some extent, magnaboy is right. One disappointment IMO re-balance brought was the heavy chrome on the tanks as they went up in rank. Paints weren't as visible after that, which would understandably been disappointing to a long-time player before that. After re-balance, paints in some way lost their original luster.....

I'm not saying that everything should be covered, but there are so many chrome parts at the moment that the paint doesn't cover the whole tank anymore but only 80%(ye some random number xD)... This isn't about what modification you have or what modification others think you have,it's about how paints can affect gameplay, but I don't see alot of effect by paints atm. They were designed for protection yes,but also for camouflage 0:

It was like that in 2012.

then why do u buy m1-m3's? or create a new acc and never rank up ever again happy?

Why? Give an explanation .-.

if the paint covers the whole tank it wouldnt give any additional protection it will just change the appearance & without those metalic & grey parts a m3 may look like a m0

Yes this is all about appearance, not extra protection....

This would be useful for people interested in camouflage, but I really like the appearance of the grey parts on M3s. M3 Hunter and M3 Dictator wouldn't look nearly as cool if I removed all the parts. Besides, they're useful for differentiating each modification. A M1 Hornet would look extremely similar to a M0 Hornet if the paint covered up the grey parts.

It was like that in 2012 and was perfectly fine until new graphics came, but you could tell the modification by the color of the gun when firing.

This is a nice idea. The thing is, in the old graphics it was very difficult to tell modifications apart. Hulls like viking could be mistaken between m0 and m3. When the new graphics came, telling them apart became very easy, since the differences were so noticeable. So for this idea, you would need to make a compromise between camouflage and ease of telling m0-m3 apart. For instance, in the Hornet m2, do you want to cover the distinguishing back plating with color? Or perhaps the front only? This is just one example of the decisions that would need to be made when choosing between either to keep a distinguishing look or cover it with the paint.

Guys guys,it seems like some of you guys(or pretty much all) misunderstood my idea. I wasn't trying to suggest to remove the chrome parts or covering all chrome parts so they'll look like an m0,no no no. I was trying to suggest to cover small parts/some parts of the chrome on your tank with the paint you're wearing... But still, who cares what modification others think you have when you know you have the right one? xD

:L if you want we can cover the whole tank and take off the chrome part  it will still be bright like m3m3 but it wont be dull like m0m0

No,don't take away the chrome parts, just cover a small part of the chrome with the paint but not everything so it will NOT look like m0,just some parts...

then why do u buy m1-m3's? or create a new acc and never rank up ever again happy?

I have an account which I created 3 years and 8 months ago and it's only Lieut. Col.@magnaboy ... This hasn't got much to do with buying modifications or ranking up. Unless you have something usefull to say I'll just ignore you...

I don't say it should cover the whole tank man,I'm saying it should cover some chrome parts but not all :c

Yea something like you suggested, not covering all chrome parts, but just small parts of them to make the camo of the paints usefull(again).

The tanks look so much cooler though. The camo only really applies when you are camping or trying to hide which for most isnt very often

When you have flag you try to hide, don't you? xD

The metallic parts is fine for me.

Allright then :c
I know you're an experienced Dictator user, which has alot of chrome parts,so I know I can trust you xD

k but those metallic parts makes a tank look cool & if those parts are covered with the paint it may look like a m0

Not covering everythinnnng, just small parts of it...
