Idea for shaft.

Recommended Posts

Hey,

I'm thewhiteknight_EN,

I've an idea for shaft:

You know that moment when you're using shaft and your prey gets out of the way?

And there's no one else to shoot in the area you're aiming in?

Well, I've an idea that might solve that:

A cancel option for shaft.

So basically when you're 'charging up' OR have already charged up you can cancel that charge and save a shot.

I hope the devs see this Cause that problem sometimes bugs me and many other players as I believe.

Peace out! ^_^

(I'm really sorry if this has already been posted, It always says 'no results found' when I try to search something.)

This would be a good idea for newbies who aren't that accustomed yet to the conditions of shaft, however, being a fast shaft aimer (also known as quickscoping) is a skill so there are good and bad parts of this idea.

-EDIT-

Remember, there is arcade mode for shaft! ;P

The longer the space bar is held the bigger the damage remember

Makes Shaft too easy. You have to be good at making quick and effective decisions in the battle. Only charge up when you're sure you can shoot and shoot before fully charging if the enemy got away - that way you'll save some reload time.

But still, if I remember correctly, minimum damage for scoping mode still does more damage than arcade mode shots? Unless it's the other way around, then by all means correct me.

Very true.

I exit scope mode by double tapping the P key. It does take away any charge you've accumulated, but it's fast and silent. This feature would also reduce the skill needed to use Shaft for the reasons MAFIOZA provided; you shouldn't go into scope mode every time you see a shadow move.
