Greetings, readers. Due to the problems I had with my laptop last month, this article is a month overdue. Whilst it's here now, prior to about the middle of April, I completely forgot about this account and my adventure with it. The free time I did have was used to rank up my alternate account from Warrant Officer 5 to Captain in just under a week. I spent my time I did have playing on my alternate account to rank it up. For that, you have my apologies - however, there's still some things to discuss here.

A second deterrent in my subconscious, in regards to playing on this account, is the fact that gameplay is so slow - you'd think it'd be easy to accumulate ranks bearing in mind the little amount of experience required. However, it feels pretty tedious, which prevents me from playing. The reason as to why I ranked up my alt somewhat quickly was because of the score multiplier pass because of the replay value - battles were fascinating, despite using the same combination every time. I've sucked it up to get some playtime on this account, whether I like it or not. With all that being said, let's begin!

This is the account in its contemporary state. Not too shabby - the crystal amount is decent for a Master Corporal. You may or may not be wondering how I was able to get the crystal amount into the quintuple-digits; Tanki Online hosted a quiz in celebration of Women's Day, and answering all questions correctly netted you 5000 crystals - doing it on more than one community got you more. It's not enough to buy a good kit, but it will enable me to buy either M1 Firebird or M1 Smoky when I eventually reach the respective ranks; I'll probably be going for the latter. I was also considering spending it all on Thunder MUs on its damage; it's in no way too late for such a thing, although I have decided against it for the now. I haven't calculated just how much MUs it will give me, but I've assumed it's a hefty amount.

These are the two kits I was able to buy at the time of writing this (on the assumption they will have changed by the release of this article) and needless to say, they are horrible. The notion of putting Isida and Mammoth together in the first place, garnished by the ugliest paint in the game isn't right. Although I only have one of the equipment in the Almighty kit, I don't see it as a good deal. I won't refute its utility to other lower-ranked users, however. They'll save a grand total of 38 crystals. I guess that means a tad more to them than to me, though.

I'd say this was the one longer game I had, and I'm surprised I was even able to nab the win this time around - my team didn't even know where they were, save a couple of teammates, and the opposing team were using Double Armour all the time. Thunder M0's rate of fire is hardly desirable, so despite experience, it wasn't the easiest of tasks. Despite all that, I was somehow able to get the win on this round, and it contributed massively to my road to ranking.

I was only in this game for about three minutes, and quickly sustained three deaths from a Railgun with Double Power - great fun. However, I was fortunately able to grab a Double Power and wreak havoc with my Thunder to achieve a more respectable D/L. I normally don't care about that sort of stuff, but then I look at the ranks I'm playing with; needless to say 0-3 is unacceptable. There was also a cult of Orange Isida-Hornets gathering around the red base for some reason - at such a rank, it's fair to assume it's coincidental, although it really did seem like they knew each other. Aside from that, there was unfortunately nothing too special about this game; just a quickie that got me some experience.

I wasn't in this battle for a particularly long amount of time either - the opposition decided that they wanted an all-Wasp team. They futilely attempted to swarm into my team's base and speed away with the flag - splash damage and negligible armour prevented this from happening. One of my teammates got stuck here:

However, he was somehow still able to wreck the opposing team - no one had the gall to deal with him; time and time again, the opposing team got teared apart by someone who couldn't actually move...

Reached the milestone of 6666 - the banterlopes and the bantersaurus-rexes can make of that as they will.

A pretty one-sided battle, as the statistics show, and it seemed to me like it was a dream scenario - you're playing well, your teammates are playing well, yet the opposing side still decide to stay in, and drop zones are in your favour. vcbnhgcf was barely able to get a shot out; he was basically fodder throughout the match. Upon finishing the game, I was nearly at where I needed to be.

Finally, finishing off with the grand rank up to Sergeant - simply amazing. My ranking-up opponent, more likely unintentional than not, pulled off a decent tactic over there, getting me to harm myself, but it was simply too late.

So yeah, this is where we're at - it's not much but at least we've gotten a new rank which provides access to new turrets, and the amount of crystals on this account provides scope for nothing very useful at all future purchases!

Do you have any future purchases in mind? Feel free to comment below!

I personally think Titan and Vulcan is a very good camping combo at that rank. I definitely suggest getting one or both during any sale.

Judging from how he knew how to turn his turret, I would say that person was probably using an alt account and did that on purpose ;)

Still, good article! :D

For noobs, between your rank and the warrant officer ranks is probably the hardest stretch for any individual. After that, things tend to get more fun :)

You see, when it's your first experience playing, it was good since it was the first time playing the game.
