You should be allowed to join XP battles and BP battles as the MUs' should be taken away for that battle if MU's aren't allowed

You are. If a battle has a format set to it (other than parkour), then MUs are automatically switched off by default. If you have MUs on your Hornet?Wasp or Railgun, then you can still enter that battle, but your MUs will have no effect, so you will be playing as if your tank has nu MUs at all. If you can't enter a format battle, then it's likely because you don't have the paint required to play. For Hornet M2 the paint must have 20% Railgun protection, so you have to have either Fracture, Sandstone or Savanna. For Hornet M3 there must be NO Railgun protection.
