In the beginning of the first round GGWP captured a fast flag, after which both flags got taken. A GGWP player accidentally killed his teammate and ARCADE used the chance to return their flag and capture the enemy one.  The next round started with two captures by GGWP.  After those ARCADE managed to capture two, and GGWP took their flag before they could capture the third one.  Luckily for GGWP, the third capture was not late and after that both teams captured one flag each.

The third round in Forest was intense. After seven minutes of fighting ARCADE finally managed to capture the first flag in the round and very soon captures one more. In the last second GGWP captued a flag, but that was not enough to change the outcome of the round.  The fourth round was won by ARCADE with a crushing 4:1 score.

The fifth round started with a capture by ARCADE. After this they captured two more flags and GGWP captured one. The fifth round was won by ARCADE - 3:2.  The sixth round started with no successful attacks at all, but in the last minutes both teams have managed to capture a flag, resulting in a tie in the round - 1:1.

The seventh round in Red Alert was the last round of the match.  ARCADE won the superfinal, once again proving that they are the champions of the game.

Final Score:-  GGWP  2 : 4  ARCADE

Match breakdown  :   @Shalamer's  analysis

Before the match even started, I secretly hoped that the teams would end up in a penalty round.  Especially after seeing ARCADE in Sandbox against PSYCHOS, I wanted to see an action-full, fast paced, suspenseful battle.

The first round was, to my disappointment, extremely slow paced.  Barda, as it happens, is quite transparent so there isn't too much action going on most of time.  However, when the teams started to play on Forest, things changed very quickly.  Considering that, according to the Russian Commentators, this is only the second time ARCADE has played on Forest in a Star Series Final, they did a remarkable job.  I have to say, though, that GGWP were very well prepared, probably after watching the dominating Forest rounds between ARCADE and ALL IN the previous days. If in the first two Barda rounds ARCADE was playing defense, they were all-out attacking in Forest. With UDJIK’s Wasp, A_R_A_K_A_L_Y_A_N’s Smokey, and PARD’s Hunter, the team managed to have a very well balanced line-up.

What I did not expect, however, was I.Shomaa’s courage.  I want to emphasize how important the role of a Captain really is.  Not only in arranging, organizing, and coordinating battles, they also hold a special part in the team, so that when they are absent, the difference is immediately noticeable, as was the case in the second Kungur round.  I really think that if I.Shomaa were not in the Forest battles, the championship would belong to another team.  I was shocked by his, what I would see as, bold and careless manoeuvres, but if you really think about it, that kind of non-standard playing is what makes ARCADE what they are – champions.  Taking risks is key to winning if you are up against opponents who are equally strong.  And GGWP were definitely showing champion material.

The first round of Red Alert was so on point for GGWP, and they managed to successfully attack and defend simultaneously, which is more than can be said for ARCADE’s first round performance.  I also noticed that GGWP were very on-target in this match.  They were focused on the task at hand and were not getting distracted.  Whereas the ARCADE players were often dribbling and, quite often actually, bumping into craters and walls, the GGWP players made sure that every little detail, task, and order was carried out to perfection. That’s why I really think that it’s ARCADE’s boldness that brought them victory.  GGWP was very careful when capturing flags, always making sure to go behind the house, or around the hill.  ARCADE, quite often, was not.  Jumping off of the hill, cutting corners, taking the longer route. Often they would pay for it, by losing a flag, or getting flipped over, but more often than not, their risk-taking strategy ensured success more than it did mistakes.

In essence, I don’t think I’ve seen a better match than the one that was put on today by ARCADE and GGWP.  Honestly, I was not expecting GGWP to do so well in some rounds, and be able to recover in nearly each round the way they did.  In the end, nonetheless, the best team won, and maybe that team wasn't strictly the “best”, in dictionary terms, but their choices and team play were spot on, and they are, once again, the champions of the Star Series.
