Changes in the parameters of turrets and hulls

I think this will be good, barely any turrets got worse. ^_^

Thunder, in my opinion, is too OP now. I will give my opinions on the other turrets when I have more experience against them.

Thunder always needed some boosting, it's damage was always UP for it's look.

Will have to try out Ricochet and Firebird, one of them will be my alts new M2.

 

Rustle also looks like a great protection paint now, all the guns it protects from have gotten a big boost. :lol:

 

Hunter also feels better driving now with a little drift, I like that change. Its like an oversized Hornet. :lol:

 

 

 

After playing with/against some of then improved guns I noticed:

 

Twins: has received the buff it needs, it can now compete with other guns.

 

Ricochet: is very powerful now, but the speed it shoots its plasma is perfect. 

 

Thunder: has the required damage but maybe just a little faster reload, it feels like a Railgun.

 

Firebird/Isida/Hammer/Shaft: not much difference here.

 

Freeze: very high damage, though the tank stays frozen for way too long now, before you changed the freezing time it was fine.

 

Vulcan: a massive nerf. 

 

 

The heavy hulls getting their turning speed boosted was also a really good choice.

Correction: Thunder was always considered OP. Now it's even more so.

OK, seeing you asked my opinion..

Vulcan's range has always been unrealistically long.

Shaft remains shafted - when will the bugs in the turret control introduced by the mouse support be corrected?

Railguns unfair advantage is its unrealistic aiming.

Ricochet didn't need more impact force, or range.

They failed to mention that the range of damage on many turrets has been severely shortened.

 

Why make all these changes when all they had to do was to modify Vulcan and Hammer?

A million updates... but SHAFT users continue to be SHAFTED!

 

PLEASE FIX THE SHAFT'S SNIPING MODE DELAY IN SHOOTING THAT GOT BROKEN SINCE THE MOUSE CONTROLS WERE IMPLEMENTED. That 1/2 second delay after we enter snipping mode, takes away huge capability from experienced shaft players! Also diagonal aiming doesn't work after entering shaft mode as keys are held down. This used to work. Please go back and retest the pre-mouse controls version of SHAFT and compare to the now still-broken version.

PS. Also while I am in ****ing mode on the front page of this thread, might as well ask: Please remove those silly cement walls in SERPUHOV map that prevent tanks from driving up the side walls and hiding in the bushes. That was so much fun. Why remove the fun?! It's not like shaft users can easily hide there anyway with their laser scopes visible.  That map became way less fun after those walls went up.  :(

First of all, kudos to the tanki developers and administrators for constantly improving the game and making more exctiting for us. That being said, I'm not sure that some of these recent changes are making the game more exciting. The point of critical shot is just that: the suspense, you don't know when, or if, critical damage would hit in and that made playing with as well as against, funny. Now, however, with crit. being almost insignificant, Smokey, I believe, is not worth the crystals it used to be. Interestingly enough, the price hasn't changed either. The hit points have increased, but that is still not enough for smokey to get through a 1v1-trapped-in-the-corner standoff. On another note, smokey used to be a lethal weapon that, when used right, becomes op. Not everyone could just sit in a DM and pick people off. Now, honestly, im not sure anyone can. Smokey is now a distilled version of ricochet with half the impact force (and graphic awesomeness).

 

That's not to say that the update is in itself terrible. I am very satisfied with the freeze update: both the increaed hit damage, as well as the freezing mechanics. I think it wil improve gameplay for both the freezer and freezed. The same cannot be said for smokey, as I hope I have just made clear.

 

Once again, thank you for all your hard work. Obviously that doesn't mean I will stop playing the game, it just means that I might not be buying the long awaited m3 smokey at the next sale (God-willing-fingers-crossed).

I completely agree. For a weapon that visually shoots like a straight line, it sure is able to bend in a huge unrealistic radius and hit tanks that are like 10-20 degrees off center. I could make an hour long video of the number of times I've been killed by rail when the line doesn't even hit my tank or is even 10 feet away. Heck, I've turned corners and my hull has passed the wall, and I still get killed. It's ridiculous.

Glad they rolled out this update before I updated to Vulcan M2, what a waste of crystals that would have been. They made my gun royally suck now. Less damage, turns slower when firing, less distance, heats up faster with more damage to hull, so can kill yourself twice as fast. Thanks developers for making the gun I have sank all my crystals into suck now. Thumbs up, not. Oh, ricochet needed more impact force? the gun already shook a mammoth m1 off it's tracks. Freeze being improved drastically, are you kidding? I already couldn't move my turret when one sneaks up on you. All you can do is sit there and watch all 250 of my health deplete with no way to retaliate. You guys are a joke.
