Amount of auto aim adapts with Rank / M-Level

Recommended Posts

So basically hitting something is easier for beginners -> so they are less frustrated.

And basically hitting something gets continously harder with each rank -> so we have a skillfull game on higher ranks.

low rank .... strong auto aim -> newbies have an easier start

  |

high rank ... less auto aim -> the Pro's with stronger weapons need skills (less noobs :P)

Here's a perfect summary (thanks Jazz20 ;)):

I think what the author was trying to say is make it easier for noobs who don't know the game physics just quite yet. I mean as you rank up, you should have a sense on how to work things correct?

I posted this idea originally in the rebalance-open-test thread - which is locked now.

But as I received 5 upvotes there.. I like to share it with you and ask for your comments!

edit: have taken out the M-Level as this gave the impression it is only about the level of the turret. It is more related to  smooth change through the ranks.

Dont think about guns. Think about players:

I've played M0 recently for 10h in total.

You have no idea how many of these newbies miss with smokey, thunder, rail, rico.....

In fact fire and Twins are the most used guns there.. as with Twins missing is not so much of an issue :P

So it makes sense to have an easier start for them

On the other hand.. I don't want to have it tooo easy for guys like you and me, which are a little higher ranked and have learned to skill up.

If you adapt the parameters for auto aim with each rank you step up.. just a little.. you would not even notice it.

But in the end you would archive more fun for starters (more players, more money) and more skill for the pros (keep games interresting).

edit: I've edited out the M-Level part, as this gave the impression it is only about the Level of the gun.

Doesn't really make sense. Why would your gun get worse as you upgrade it and get a higher rank?
