SO A QUESTION TO THOSE WHO ARE CASUALLY READING THIS TOPIC: Why do you not venture to other unpopular maps?

hi, I actually want to know what people think of this idea. >_>

Good idea man. But this is not anywhere soon, as the Devs said, no more work on Flash version. But I'd love seeing that in Unity.

I honestly wasn't expecting something like this to be implanted into the game right now anyways.

Yeah, I have that in-mind.

Also vote for #mapmakers

I'm afraid this may lead to ruining perfectly good, but unpopular maps. For example, Courage. A great map, but I can imagine it being very unpopular and getting 'reworked' on. Believe me, 65% of the time TO 'rework' on stuff, they make it 10 times worse. Take Silence for example, combining Silence | and || made it horrible.

Nice thought though.

This does require more work for the developers but that's what MapMakers are for ...

MapMakers are currently limited to creating special maps. Kinda boring on their part at this moment. Think about it, the last time they worked on a map was in early 2015 (Aleksandrovsk).

+1 on for that.

You know, some maps are popular for a reason, and some maps are not popular at all for a reason. If they are not popular it means people don't like to play on them. Forcing players to play on the maps they don't like (because the maps they don't like = the maps that are not popular) would be a bad idea.

Are you sure? I actually think that the mapmakers are working on new maps for Unity. They are probably also reworking the current maps for Unity.

Nice idea, but two things I want to say:

1. Have the maps that are removed either be random, be the most popular, or be random with more chance of the popular ones being removed. This will get players to play the least popular maps more often. How your idea is stated right now, the situation with unpopular maps would become worse. Those who do like unpopular maps might not be able to find the map they want when they want to create a battle.

2. No reworking of the maps that are removed. That would be way too much work for the Devs and anyway, the changes would probably be unpopular.

Yeah, they said that, but remember what happened a few days ago? They changed the Unity version

Or a map rotation like after every match it switches to another map, its random

I wouldn't mind it. Would have to be an option or else the entire playerbase would freak out.

But If those unpopular maps are recycled in without change, people would just turn their head back to the other maps. They would keep their predetermined dislike for the map when its cycled back in. Changes to the card would make people more likely to try it again.

You're not interpreting what we mean by MapMakers correctly; players who create and edit maps You are referencing the developers actions in regards to new maps. Thats what we reference ourselves because there was, at one time, that position. Developers are map makers, but they work on much more than that.

Only for a bit though.

I did have this in-mind, of course popular maps would be in the cycle, sorry if I hadn't made myself clear.

+10000

Deck-9 and Canyon would have a chance, but moon silence won't return, also due to the new anti-cheat system, wouldn't work every well.

We've always got Unity for gravity maps :x

As the title simply says.

The game needs to have map rotations, playing on the same map for such a long time gets boring.

Let's say they're 40 maps in-game; every 3 months or so the 15 maps that are least popular get replaced with new ones, the maps that were removed get reworked on to suit a better gameplay style or they simply return in the next rotation of maps. This does require more work for the developers but that's what MapMakers are for ...

Its an awesome idea if the devs can manage.

Now we have daily missions - Devs can give rewards for using the more unused maps. I think best to choose maps with room for at least 8 tanks = 4 on each  on each side in Team battles and at least 200 meters by 200 meters of floor plan so I can keep out of range of Hammers.
