A new sub-forum. :)

Some weeks before an update on which we could make topics on one kind of person on the off-topic discussion sub-forum could be allowed. But after some days some players argued that it wasn't a good update...

 

So how about we create a new sub-forum on which we can create topics on only ourselves and the sub-forum would be named...

 

Individual discussion

 

We can share all about ourselves by creating 1 topic and tell people about our life and how we grew up to generalissimo. (or the level where we are at that time)

 

Example on a Individual Forum Topic name... "All about Golden5648"  (Or "My life")

Topics like these can be made--------> http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=219998&hl=+kirby&page=1

 The problem is that many younger players don't realise the importance of concealing their personal information. They will discover the new section, they will create their own topic and potentially add a lot of personal info to it (phone number, address, real name, etc.), which will put them at risk. It's best to avoid that completely, which is one of the reasons why personal topics are not allowed anymore.

 

Just like MAFIOZA said that this idea can't work how about... In the individual discussion rules we can add that we should not give much personal information?

Or else a ban or warn would occur. (a mod can also edit the topic)

It would be cool but info can be posted and end up in the wrong hands.. we dont know anybody on the forums in person only skype and social media maybe even in real life friends but still its kinda risky to do so kids dont know what they be posting and they think if they post private info that no1 is going to search it up and stock them...

mods are not on all the time ._. if they are going to put a sub-forum mods would have to monitor it 24/7 so no private info shall be posted

Well, the individual discussion sub-forum won't be based on private discussion. We are only allowed to post our Tanki life etc and our hobbies in real life or something like that...

This is a bit extreme, but by this logic, the First Amendment should not exist in the USA otherwise there's a slim chance of violent overthrows happening.

 

Also, going with that phrase again, with the removal of the forum, there would be more prevention towards unsafe showcasing of personal and private information.

Well, this is where it gets complicated. Sure - it's easy to just block everything and disable all methods of communication to remove the risk of people accidentally posting the wrong things online, but obviously the negative impact of that will be immensely huge, compared to the benefits of removing that risk. It's all about the balance of things, where you need to give people enough freedom to enjoy themselves and have fun, while at the same time enforcing enough restrictions to prevent any kind of damage.
