Stolen?

Okay I was on the forum 2 days ago and someguy posted a link saying is this topic true?... The topic was on the russian forum and it said 80% and it looked totally legit. Then i clicked disscus in forum and my brohter logged on his account for the forum(russian),Link_1119, but then it said it didnt recognise the account and said to write the email and password. So my brother was halfway doing it and he felt it was a scam so he closed the tab. Then he went on the en forum to see if there was 80% but when he logged in it said incorrect password or username. Then he typed it again and it said your account will be automatically unlocked in 15mins. He tried after 15mins and same thing happend. He tried the next day and same thing happend again, even logging in tanki it said inncorrect passowrd or username(not forum).

 

 

He hasnt been on his accciunt for 2 days now and he cant change the password becuase he forgot the email that was linked to it.

 

 

How should he approach this problem and what shpuld he do first? Email tanki that he forgot his email or saying he is hacked??

 

Or is it just the tanki secrutiy or did he get hacked.

 

 

Please reply as ASAP, thanks.

 

 

BTW, he has proof that he linked his email to another email.

It is possible for your brother to have clicked a scam link which opens a page which looks 100% like the official one but is a scam underneath. Such sites should be reported so that we can block them. 

 

The OP of that topic might have highlited a text with a scam link. If it asked for your password, or directed you to the logging in page upon clicking, then it is a scam page. Once you have logged on Tanki forum, your password is no longer required until you close your browser or sign out manually IF "remember me" is ticked off.

 

If you have that link kindly send it to me in forum PM and I shall report it to the administration to block it.

To get your account back, you need to contact help desk, check this topic What to do if my account has been stolen. Do not log on to such site, never listen to scamers, if they give a link and says that you will get crystals if you log in through that site, that mean it's a scam, so you should report them in chat violator section.

He cant because he forgot the email that was linked to his tanki account.

Closing the browser would automatically log-off the account from the forum. Simply put - if you have unticked "remember me" button while logging in, the account you logged on will be signed off when you close the browser you're using. Closing the browser means clicking "X" button on the top right corner of your entire screen. It isn't a complicated concept, I probably didn't make it clear enough.

You dont understand what situtation he is in.

So if he does write to tanki and things do go wrong, tanki will just say he lied.

You just need to explain to tech support what exactly happened, also the link i gave you above, you need to answer these questions to tech support, it doesn't matter if you got hacked or forgot email you linked to. You will still need to answer these questions, the reason of answering these questions is to see if you are the real onwer of the account, and of course if that's your account, you will be able to answer all 10 questions. And then tech support will help you.

Yes.. In the email question, you can say that you don't remember. That's it. But be careful to send rest of information as accurately as possible.

hey link i too just faced same problem some 1 day ago but don't worry if your crystal is lost contact help@tankionline.com. the problem faced is exactly what you said and i lost my crystal but tanki support returned all.

First look at the beggining of the link: Normal link is - http://en.tankiforum.com/ but forbidden link: starts with other name. Example: launch.tanks/forum.

I had same problems but i have luck i entered my email and recover my password back.

Btw all discounts MUST be in v-logs (Video blogs of tanki online) so dont trust if someone is saying something like this: 80% discounts! Look at that link... DONT LOG IN. First ask moderator if that link is safe.

Also during this hack/scam thing i also got the email back that was linked to my tanki account.
