Exciting news in V-LOG 44

Is the new version of tanki gonna be like a seperate game or are they gonna ditch the current look all together?

Last year Semyon said they would create a new platform (that's the unity) and leave the current game with accounts intact. All the accounts would be migrated to the new platform, but by keeping the old you would be able to play in both. From the time of the migration the two games and accounts would become separate and different of course.

 

I am curious if this plan is still valid.

AFAIK yes. They want a smooth transition and give players the time to get to know and feel comfy

with the new Unity version.

 

Will there always be two Tanki versions beside each other? I guess not. To put it simply: Unity as a multi-platform

and being far easier adjustable is the future.

Flash? Is the past.

 

Will my computer be able to play Tanki Unity? Unity isn 't a very demanding platform at all, so the

system requirements won 't be a problem for the vast majority of PC 's around.

With the new contest and contest similar in future we're getting a another crystal source. Probably contest are places where everyone grabs a shiny stake of crystals.

 

- Micro upgrades are going to become way more popular soon, during sales I'd guess we can get a really cheap m3 but sad part of this is that you need to get EVERY-SINGLE parameters. The upgrading during battles will be a really nice tool, won't need to wait ages for upgrades to complete on your favourite weapon. 

 

- The new tanki version looks really awesome. Tanki (Dev's) you've made a extremely big progress. From last time of any updates about this, you've surprised us. Perhaps this all is worth the like and a friendly comment.

P.S: I guess everyone is going to have a fun and busy 2 months... From may till tanki's birthday we're getting so much of candies from tanki. You can't go away with a sad face.

To all of you people think that Unity Tanki would collapse your CPU into a black hole, I suggest you take a look at some of the better Unity games over at Kongregate (a game site). They run a lot smoother than most of the Flash games there, that's for certain. They don't seem as clunky or poorly made. Unity is really an outstanding platform for 3D games, and easier to add and edit features than with Flash. Developers went with Flash originally because that was what was the best available for them at the time, I assume. Now we know Unity is superior in a lot of ways. Don't be afraid to try a new thing ^_^
