Why are you/some asking for Gold Boxes?

Hello tankers.

I am back with another topic. This time lets talk about Gold Boxes.

 

We all got to know and love Gold boxes. True out of my game time I stumbled across some players that were asking "admins" or just asking in general for Gold Boxes and/or for them to drop.

 

It is not a rocket science to go on wiki and read about Gold Boxes. I done that and it clearly shows that they drop randomly (click image to go to wiki).

My question is, way are you/some asking for them any ways? Do you/they not know how the Gold Boxes work? If you know that they are randomly dropped, do you tell that to those that are asking from them?

True, I and everyone else could just ignore them but ignoring is not always good action. Sometimes you need to enlighten them with the knowledge.

People ask because they don't know how gold boxes work. In case you didn't notice, there isn't a single notification or tip about gold boxes when you first start playing the game. Most players just log in and play and don't even know about the existence of the forum or wiki or the consultants team. They just see the gold box randomly drop and they assume that one of the players in the battle is a developer and has access to gold box drop commands.

 

There's nothing you can do about it and to be honest, I don't think anything needs to be done about it. If they want to believe that admins drop golds - let them be. If they annoy you too much with their "ADMIN GOLD PLS" messages in chat - block the user or turn off the chat.

It doesn't annoy me. I just feel like helping them by giving them knowledge so they know how things work. I see players far higher ranked than me that are saying such thing but I do understand if there's nothing I can do.

Probably aren't even ignorant.  You see it across all ranks and you see people continually try and correct them.  I think it is a meme that spread through the community.  Some find it funny, some find it lucky, while others hope it will distract the enemy team by making them feel compelled to reply to it.  Just like those guys that drug but accuse everyone else of drugging.

True. I really hope it can be ended because if player takes time for asking for gold box instead of concentrating on helping teammates it can be annoying for some.

True, everyone likes to catch gold boxes but in order to do so you need to wait for them to drop and that is randomly determined. By always saying what you say, you can only annoy some players. I'm not saying that you must stop it. I'm just saying that it be good if you would stop it but that is your choice.

There's something MORE annoying. There are always the players who ask for gold boxes and finaly the gold box drops and a random player takes it. You are like: Come ooon. Soo close. It drives me nuts as well, "gold box", "please gold box", "gold box soon."

 

Everyone should know by now it only drops if you say "Gold Box, pretty please" and touch your nose while blinking twice.

 

you should touch your nose after the first blink but before the second blink.

 

Nothing else works.  Trust me, dev's have a sick sense of humour.

 

You have to get the timing just right or it won't work, practice it and enjoy the rewards!!!

Over here at the lower ranks it's even worse. They spam the whole chat with it.
