Quick question: How do you make an awesome thing even better? By making it bigger!

That’s why from 02:00 UTC on May 5 till 02:00 UTC on May 10, golds will be growing by 1000 crystals every day. You’ll be catching gold boxes worth 5000 crystals on the 5th, 6000 on the 6th and all the way up to 9000 crystals on the 9th of May.

Watch out, overloaded gold boxes are already in an arena near you, so go hunt one down right now!

In all seriousness though, this are my reactions of this happening!   :mellow:

Me at the 5th of May:  :D   B) I love tanki! 

 

After the 9th of May:  :o  :( Caught NO gold boxes, and others got more crystals from gold boxes than even battle fund. I hate Tanki! 

 

But to be honest, it is handle tanki now. Legit the last 2 days, my school was off so you know i was playing 24/2(2 days school off), and i broke my small record of highest crystal reward.  Now, i am saving my supplies from the massive use of it to be at the top. Some losses, some wins, all great rewards. Now playing, it got me a surprise for not having a difference of 1,000 at least to my point to reward. :o

 

But for real though, double battle funds were so memorable. The only crystal giving box that actually satisfied me was the 10 crystals one, and gold boxes were never my thing cause i barley catch any. I have yet to beat the amount of gold boxes a gold hunter got in a week, with me with all of my catches in 2015. This gives my opponents a head start, but can't wait for 50% sale to get Dictator. Can you wait for a legit sale?  :huh: 

 

And before start complain' about the chances of gold falling is decreased, just keep in mine it is not 2x funds. And will it actually make a change. What is your ratio of catching golds, cause i mean even if it falls, is it possible for just YOU to catch it with all your other opponents against you? I mean someone is going to have to get it, and sometimes people get many golds in just one battle, but what are the odds?!? These questions tho.... :huh:

Well this gold pretty much had no skill. When you are broke, you can always count on your friends. Well this shows that. First of all, a major thank you to @S.C.Y.T.H.E and Chris3040. Both were generous enough to give the rookie in this match, the gold. Well our plan was someone to get gold, then battle fund, and then the second gold. By the time  @S.C.Y.T.H.E  reached 100 kills there was no gold, and Chris has to go. Right after he left, the sign and sound hit our senses, and gold was going to drop soon. Sorry Chris, bad timing. But maybe it just fell cause we were not expecting the unexpected, and that is one of the tips that consists of catching gold box. Anyway, one of the best reporter,  @S.C.Y.T.H.E gave the gold by shooting me with his amazing Rail gun M3, and pushing me to my last, but amazing skill less gold box.   :)

 

 

Again thank you so much Chris and  @S.C.Y.T.H.E . You guys are truly my heroes of the day. By the way, then I got banned for an hour cause I had small messages that was flooded, and @S.C.Y.T.H.E and I both left the match, which had over 200 kills in all, and over 3,000 battle fund. Thank you  @S.C.Y.T.H.E  for not caring about the battle fund, and forgiving me for my ban. You are truly one of the best Reporters in Tanki! Who is your favorite? :D  :huh: 

 

So this may be my last gold, but defiantly the best, for it’s worth. This was the first of the game, and the only one of the game, in my own created battle. The first battle, my friend caught 1 out of the 3 gold boxes that fell, and bought rail gun M3. Congrats my friend, enjoy your complete XP set.  Like in the advice I said below, I got on a spot where you can get on top, as a ramp, and caught this special box. Sorry I did not take the picture of me catching the box at the same time, it was just that I was defending my golden spot up there, from anyone else that may try and get it. Next thing you know, 9,000 crystals are added to my wallet, and I got a smile on my face. Also, I was half way flipped with my Viking and Tiger showing, with this Jack Hammer kit on top of me. Feel bad for the guy who joined right after I caught the gold, but thanks for that! :)

 

Who cares if I lost my match, and only got half a reward for my experience, I still got the most crystals from the match, and the rest is history.  Hope you guys are also having a nice and surprising gold hunting. I know there are people who got like over 100,000 crystals in this occasion, but I got the chance to try out unlimited supplies for a day. I haven’t drugged that hard until the World War hit, if you get what I mean. The only reason I lost that round was because others in my team did not use supplies. Well can I blame them, nowadays, 70 crystals and watching V-log to get latest information takes so long, that they are clueless why the hell we are all using supplies. Hope you people get a bit more sense and time, in no offensive way. Enjoy the last goodies of the legendary May Holidays, and happy tanki playing! :D

 

So this is my second gold box of these May Holidays, and it just happens to be 8,000 crystals. Sorry the picture doesn’t show the gold box being caught that says 8,000 on it. Either way, it is rare for me to get gold box, and I am happy for it. An 8,000 gold box just beat my record of highest battle fund which was around 7,800 for me.  I know it may feel small, but I got that just in 50 minutes, of course in double battle funds. Well anyway, since I was playing in Serpuhov, the map was big, so in the last minute when the first gold of the game fell, I used nitro. In once stance, there was a Hornet M3 on top of me, but I let him go away from the gold box, cause in his perspective, he did not see where it is. When going to edge of the map to get gold, all the hornets were pushing, 1 got ahead of me, yet it was too late and I retrieved the golden box of 8,000 glorious crystals. This is my first gold with the 2 year worked crystals spent on the “Jack Hammer Kit”, and I am glad it was a high value one. Do you think I was the first one to get gold? Even though the picture is cropped, I caught just 19 minutes after the server update. I am happy, and I wish you happy gold hunting as well. Enjoy your day, and May holidays while you can. :D  

 

My first 5,000 gold box. I could not play in Tanki's Birthday last year where it was 5,000 cause i left tanki for a while to go to Bangladesh for a religious holiday.  I probably could of caught MANY golds back then, cause i had the momentum in low ranks with my hornet M2, and so many crystal boxes were falling anyway. I caught the first out of FOUR golds that fell in this lucky 30 minute match in Polygon CP. Before you call me lucky, just saying it again, i only caught one(my first evah), and my lucky friend caught 2, or 10,000! crystals gained! Also i think i got some tips that may help YOU get gold, even though your probably in a better state than me! :lol: So here are the tips i'm pretty sure you may already know! :D

 

Golden ​Tips:

 

Expect the unexpected. Usually in chat people are surprised when golds fall. Your unique, so don't always listen to others. At forum, everyone was like "No gold in 1, 2 or 3 hours", which disappointed me. Right after my first match from forum, i get a gold and it falls in the first 6 minutes. I was over the moon! :)

 

By the way, also plan on getting golds from the top, rather than rising from the bottom. Instead of being a Dictator to lag all the way up, start from a ramp, or high place to begin your run for the gold with a high start. Also, maintain your balance when doing so. In this example, you can see i caught the gold at the top, and before it i was at the ramp! I believe in the third gold of the match, i was at the top, but flipped with the whole group. Clumsy me! To help you maintain balance, i recommend doing park-our with your mates and best friends with that combo, so you can get use to it.  But just note, don't jump at map Rio. It has bugs which disallows to get a box, such as a supply or gold box from mid air. Please tell tanki developers that, in hopes of no more trolling. I missed 3 golds jumping in mid air to get golds! But then, experimenting with the common supplies that fall, i conclude you can't catch boxes in mid air, in Rio! :(

 

Also, in my opinion, catching a gold through a one game with the same combo is very rare. I mean, if 2 golds fall, and you catch the first one, it is rare for you to catch the second one with the same combo. For this, i like to alter my combo, and with the 1 minute change, it is great. If you are favorable of one part of your combo, like your tank, you don't have to change the hull than, just change the turret or paint. For that, i always recommend using Dictators cause they pretty much catch everything with a nitro and force, and i get jealous of them. As a result, i am planing on buying it soon, so i can give others a taste of their own medicine. But back to the topic, it is always great to have more than 1 choice to choose from, to alter your combo. I like playing with my only M3 hull, which is Viking, but if i really need speed, i go with my Hornet M2. I got to chose from 2 great turrets, both M3, thunder and hammer. Paints are great, with Loam and Tiger. By altering my combo, i catch more golds, or get closer at catching them which makes me rage when i miss them by an inch, or tanki trolls me.  :angry:   :P   :lol:

Uh..um, we decided to decrease the chances of a gold box dropping from 1/7000 to 0.1/3,000,000. But don't worry, we've increased the chances of a Nitro box dropping.

Oh, and we just decreased the chances again, tehe (0.01/60 billion).

Somehow in a pile of tanks using Hornet I managed to get one tonight (and it didn't even require climbing up on others). :D
