Gold Boxes growing bigger every day

I played 2 xp games and 0 8k golds.

That is sad, you should try Polygon CP XP/BP battles, they have at least 2-3 golds in one match. And the fund you get is over 2k. (That is, if you play good) :)

So, this change has been in place for a long time, ever since the removal of crystal boxes in fact. The old system made the decision every time a crystal box fell with a 1 in 7,000 probability. Though now, for every time the fund grows one crystal, the decision is made with a likelihood of 1 in 10,000. This actually INCREASES the probability of Gold Boxes falling, as it took ten crystals of the fund to drop a Gold Box in the past whereas now it needs only one to make the decision.

1/10,000 is a smaller chance than 1/7,000.

In the previous system, every time a crystal was added to the fund, there was a chance of 1/7,000 that a Gold Box would drop. This is about a .01428% chance.

In the new system, every time a crystal is added to the fund, there is a chance of 1/10,000 that a Gold Box will drop. This is a .01% chance.

Since .01428 is bigger than .01, the chance of a gold box dropping was bigger when the chance was 1/7000.

This was the math way. Or you could use the way that many people seldom use: Common sense

1/7,000 means the Gold Box will drop on average once for every 7,000 crystals in the fund.

1/10,000 means the Gold Box will drop on average once for every 10,000 crystals in the fund.

Since it takes longer for 10,000 crystals to be added to the fund than 7,000, obviously the 1/10,000 chance will drop a Gold Box less.

I hope you see where the error was in saying that 1/10,000 chance makes it drop more often. If not, there goes my faith in humanity -_-

I am not going to play today or tomorrow.  I enjoy the large (Aleksandrov, Serpukhov, Barda) battles, and everybody is playing the small games so that they have some chance of seeing the gold boxes.  For the last two days I have not even been able to get close enough to shoot at people gathered on the drop spot.

i believe the chances of dropping decrease each day. I got 3 boxes with 5k, 1 or 2 boxes with 6k, and 0 with 7k. It's been almost 4 hours and I haven't even seen an 8k box drop...let alone get it.

 

Hmm others tell me that in CP Polygon 5 boxes dropped in 2 games...I guess i didn't play the correct maps.

 

Ok I played CP Polygon 60 minute matches and around 4 boxes dropped in 2 hours

 

I'm editing again. At night now, and lots of boxes dropped in CP Polygon. I got 2x 8k's and missed alot.

I'll be glad when this is over. People joining teams solely for the purpose of waiting for gold to drop is ruining the game these few days.

For whatever reason, even though Mr. Kirov and others deny it, the Gold Boxes with bigger values fall far less often, and the bigger they get, the less they fall. No, it's not our imagination, developers, I see at least 5 regular Gold Boxes in one day, but I've only seen one per day for the last 3 days.  On top of that, you have more of the average Tanker's worst enemy: GOLD MULTS!! God they tick me off.

 

In comparison, double battle funds are a far better option. We players are encouraged to play more, plus the Gold Boxes fall more. It's basically like regular Tanki on steroids. There is nothing attractive about larger Gold Boxes in comparison. Just a note for the future. ;)

I caught 1 everyday, even in 1 vs 1 battles... But i do think that the gold box drops less often then they did before, but on the other hand, friday to monday we have had double funds. And in 4 days time, you get used to something, and in those 4 days golds dropped a lot. So maybe they didn't lower chance of dropping, but maybe we just got used to the idea of 1 or 2 golds dropping per match????

Geezer, eh? I am 10 bro, but i think i will speak your language of inappropriate English to help you comprehend what i say! :D

 

First of all, just so ya know, i am EzanK's newbie account. I thought i could relate to what your saying being also a low ranked person, i am just 2 ranks ahead of you. Well, if you want to complain, don't blame gold, rather question the battle fund, bruh. Look, you may be new to this game, but lemme explain.

 

Fun Facts: Gold Box fall with a chance of 1/7000. In a recent Q n A (Question and Answer), tanki developers have studied all the complains to return crystal boxes( A usual box that is worth 10 crystals that fell with any increase of battle fund.. A map called "Stadium", was filled with these boxes falling from the heavens, and i use to catch them for fun. I tell you, good memories man, good memories. Anyway, R.I.P. crystals boxes :( ), but instead increased the battle fund for low ranks. It is still very low compared to Generalissimos(Highest rank in Tanki) funds, and my pro account ranks, but still a decent amount. :)

 

Usually as you may know, with the Double Battle Funds, even losing teams who get humiliated sometimes get more crystals than score at my rank's funds. The reward for the winning team is usually double the score, or even more depending on how many people who contributed to the battle fund has left. In low ranks, as you may know, getting more crystals than points is rare, so for that, golds are rare. :( But when it falls, i take advantage with my M0 XP combo( Rail gun and Hornet). And by the way, when i say M0, it is for this account. In my professional account, i play with Viking and Thunder/Hammer M3 , with Loam( Main protection, 36% fire protection), or Tiger(Main protection, 40% hammer protection) depending on what my enemies combo is! ;)

 

So to conclude, hope ya understand that it is not at all gold's faull, rather your rank, and small contributions to increase battle fund. By the way, without double battle funds, it usually takes a long time to settle in, getting use to normal funds, and slow gold boxes. Just when you get mad gold ain't falling, always try to get experience to rank and contribute more, and remember it is a 1/7000 chance. That does not mean gold will for SURE fall when it is 7,000 battle fund, cause it can even fall if it is more, but most of the time less, but that means that try to hit one spot out of 7,000 spots, and that is gold. That's kinda hard, if ya know what i mean? :D

 

PS: Without high rank people, tanki would be more rubbish meaning no more people with so many posts of golds and funds, cause if all are important with low ranks, remember, statistically, less golds and funds. Also without experience tankers like me, you may have to watch many V-logs, or read the long Tanki wiki to get this information. Hope you learned something new! ;)

I've been playing Tanki for about 2 years now, this is my new account which will now  be my main.

I know about the 1/7000 stuff but still it should be at least 100/7000.
