An option to disable Gold Boxes.

Now when you read the topic title, you're probably thinking: "Is this guy mad? Disabling gold boxes? Why would you want to do that?"

You're in the middle of a battle in a clan war in a tense battle. The flag limit is 7 and the score is 6-6. Both flags have been taken. Then all of a sudden it pops up on your screen "Gold Box Will Be Dropped Soon"

 

 

Then whoever is holding the flags mostly drop it in a random place and abandons their base. Then they begin to run around the whole map like they've just been set on fire trying to find the gold box mark. 

 

 

I've seen this happen lots of times and in situations like when the flag limit is 7 and the score is 6-6 then both flags have been taken then the gold drops, I find that it ruins the tense (fun) in clan war battles. 

 

 

Which is why, if there was an option to disable the gold box from falling in pro battles, then that problem would not happen anymore. And like I said, an option to disable the gold from falling in Pro Battles would be perfect for Clan Wars. Especially if it's a close and tense game.

In true clan wars, players will entirely ignore the gold. If they don't, then they probably don't have the devotion to be in a clan.

The idea has a good base, but this is the problem:

(different sections in different colours)

 

 

When people join a battle, the first thing 90% of them ask is "Gold box" or some other language variation of that.

Now, if such a battle was possible, nobody would actually join it, except a select few, such as you, me, or other people who share the same view.

However, in the end, not many people will actually join such a battle.

 

Most of the people playing Tanki nowadays, can be divided into 3 groups based on gold box catch rate and game playing rate:

 

1) The common group : Gold hunters who focus on battles, and play decently enough to support the team.

2) The rare group : People who ignore golds, and carry the match on their shoulders.

3) The worst and the most seen group : Mults who do nothing to support their team and go around being stupid when a gold box drops, and start swearing at the person who caught the gold box.

 

Now, most of the people who join these sort of battles will be of the second group, and as I have mentioned, that group is rare. 

People complain when they don't catch gold boxes, and get angry, but the ugly truth is that nobody refuses the thrill of the "Gold Box will be dropped soon" sign. They go crazy for it. 

Which brings me back to my main point. The people who join might just come in the battle, ask "Gold dropped?" and upon hearing that no golds ever drop in such battles, they'll just leave. Sorry to say, but such a thing will never work, unless people change the way they play.

 

As for clans, people who play in clans should either have the sense to stop, and decide, or just ignore it and go on. If they don't do that, they don't deserve to be in a clan.

True, but they do sometimes have a bad habit of dropping at the wrong times. Especially when you're about to capture the last flag to win the game and then it falls lol.

Yes it would be cool. The amount battlefund could increase by factor (1000/7000) to make up for it.

 

If you have some issues with russian, then use crome, browse to the page, right click the text and choose "translate to english" ;)

How about this instead, gold alarm goes off, you capture the flag but the game technically hasn't ended cuz of gold box, when somebody catches the gold box then the game ends and you get ur reward, better idea than this topic.

To be honest, your point is very accurate, I don't play Clan Wars myself but it's a good suggestion, although it probably won't happen at least you've created a Topic on it so we can discuss, I do agree with you and I'd approve of the idea as well. It would most likely ruin the Clan Wars for you guys if the message was to appear. But thumbs up from me for this idea. :)

I prefer 5K reward. Because I'm being rewarded for all my hours of hard work in that certain battle.
