I'd much rather spend my time on expanding my knowledge, honing my skills, or give my time doing something useful for humanity, I don't see how analyzing, dissecting and debating our "prehistoric" past helps anyone or achieves any positive purpose.

Because the past is the future. Whatever scientists are trying to do or have done in past decades was already achieved in ancient times. Finding how they achieved these feats can help us achieve even greater ones. ;)

Ok well being a solipsist I dont think anything actually exists to begin with.... I mean, what evidence do we have that we are real? how do you know that evidence isnt lying? The only proof we have is what our 5 senses tell us, but how do we know they arnt just figures of our imagination? No matter what you say or think, you can't prove that we are real. So in theory, any Ideology is as good as the next. Muslim? sure. Atheist? cool. None of them can prove we even exist in the first place, so there all equal.

A very good point, however it all depends on your definition of "existance". We say a table exists because we can touch it, see it, feel it, so it's all relative to our senses. If "existance" for you is the state of being not relative to our senses, then yes nothing can be proved or disproved, because the only ways we have of gather and processing information are our senses.

 

This also points to the fact that whether or not Something or Someone exists in a spiritual world or another dimension depends entirely on our perception of things.

 

Stickmen in a 2D dimension simply cannot comprehend the existence of a third dimension. It's not a matter of explaining it to them, or even showing them examples, cause a 2D brain can't process it.

 

Similarly there is pretty much no point in us trying to conceptualize another dimension that our brains literally do not have the capacity to understand or comprehend.

No point thinking about it. It's because it is defined that way, or rather, WE defined it that way. Once you have defined something, you can work on it without questioning the definition itself. I am pretty sure that aliens in some galaxy X will not be using decimal system to measure. So, life can be a dream or it might be real. But can you risk your whole life doing nothing just because you believe that this is not real? ;)

This is another example as to why such topics should not be permitted at all, as at the end they always end up discussing religion, which itself, in 100% of the cases, includes insulting/mocking statements, questioning a certain religion's elements and so on.
