Manual [Surrender] button for loosing team

Auto-Finish was added to the game through I&S forum. The majority of players wanted it implemented. It was a way of finishing a bad battle and putting the losing team out of their misery. 

 

At the time, all players could create a battle and many were 30 minutes long. If half way through the battle, half or more of the losing left and those who wanted to stay, usually the top scorers, had no choice but to stay and battle it out for another 15 minutes or leave and get nothing. As they stayed for the 15 minutes, their take of the battle fund kept going down. Players felt that with an auto-finish, they could still lose with some dignity. 

 

As for the winning team, before the auto-finish, if all of the losing team left and there was still time left in the battle, they had no other choice but to stay for whatever time amount that was left, even though there was no one on the other team. That lead to some pretty long waiting time and some players would forfeit their hard earned crystals because they didn't want to wait around for 10-15 minutes. 

 

Personally, I always stayed, even though no one else was there, to get the battle fund. Sometimes it backfired when a player a few ranks higher and more powerful than me would join the other team.

To avoid the all too much occuring slaughter fests in MM, is it an idea to have a voting option where a team can surrender and end the battle earlier? I have seen this tool to avoid unbalanced games for instance in League of Legends and it really helps. So if there is 1 tanker who wants to give up the battle and surrender he uses a vote command. And when 5 out of 8 (or lets say 65% of the team) agrees to surrender by voting also, the battle ends, giving immediate victory to the opposite team.

If I read this right, a player has to have a score of 50 in order to vote to eliminate recently joined players, mults and non-participants. My concern is the mults. 50 points is not very hard to get especially for freeze, firebird and isida. A mult could easily get that 50 points at the beginning of the battle and then go somewhere and mult. So, your idea, though good, will not necessarily eliminate mults from voting.  

 

Case in point: A few days ago, the battle I was in, we had an Isida/Wasp. This player played for a couple minutes or so and then seemed to disappear. I thought the player had quit. Later, I went around a building to ambush the enemy and found our Isida. I push the tank out into enemy fire and used it as a shield. The Isida/Wasp never moved and died very quickly. Next time I respawned, I took a look around the building and saw our Isida sitting in the same spot. I gave it a nudge and it didn't move. The Isida lasted the entire battle, but I never saw it participate after the first few minutes in the beginning of the battle. A mult only needs to move occasionally to stay in battle. It can get killed, respawn, then move to its multing spot.

The surrender button sound like an amazing idea, but I want it to be improved so that players can save their crystals fund so that it does not get shared with other players.
