Exit button sometimes doesnt work

Sometimes when I want to exit a battle, it doesnt exit normally and my screen just looks like I am just visiting the lobby in the middle of battle. I try to join abother game, but instead of saying "join", it says "return to battle". When I try to go back into the battle though, it doesnt let me and it comepletely freezes. I am irritated with this problem. Any help or advice?

When you press the battles button, it does not bring you out of the current battle, it simply shows you the list of battles from the lobby view. To exit the battle completely, press the red "X" at the top right corner of the screen.
