Improve self destruct penalty and thunder

When i'm simply changing equipment, i get deducted in score, WHY? when i'm playing with thunder, alot of players get close to me so they can kill me easily, that means if i self destruct it's my problem not theirs.

 

SD penalty improvement: How about instead of taking away people's kills, you can give people points even if the player SD, assume that a railgun shoots my viking, but then i self destruct, he still gets the points for damaging me, it is WAY better than taking away people's kills, especially for thunder players.

 

Thunder improvment: Have you ever played with thunder and realised another long range gun can shoot you but somehow YOU can't? if your a thunder player you should realize this by now, it's so annoying that the player can shoot you but YOU can't shoot him, has happened to me millions of times.

Another improvment: Accuracy, please improve thunder's accuracy, i cannot shoot anything at long range

Final improvment: Impact force, ok i think you should increase the impact to at least 400 (would be 300 for non-micro thunders, why? because thunder shoots slower than smoky, smoky is better at thunder with impact force because it doesn't give players time to aim, thunder DOES have slightly higher impact than smoky but it gives more time for players to re-aim since thunder has slower reload than smoky.

 

 

Please improve these.

This really stood out to me... been waiting for someone other than myself to complain about the SD feature. What you suggest here is an actual step forward.

I can't recall a single situation where someone could shoot me at range and I couldn't shoot back, barring obvious angles and ledges of course. 

 

Self destruct bugs me too.  The penalty was just a quick fix to deal with the abuses of the previous system.  Penalizing the users of one turret and deprive people who kill them of a kill is pointless.  If an enemy moves closer the thunder's team would be better off if the thunder did some damage before dying, leaving the enemy weakened.  The enemy would be better off getting a kill for dispatching the thunder.  However the thunder will lose a kill and some score for trying to do this damage and would be better off waiting to be killed.  Why create a conflict of interests?

The one advantage Thunder over other turrets has is splash damage. Think of it as being similar to flak. You can sit somewhere all day and just shoot over and over in a general direction and though you may not get the kill you still get points for giving damage. I'm not sure how you can improve accuracy and allow for splash damage - seems a bit OP to me.

If you think Thunder is UP perhaps you aren't using it right:

Dude at his rank all players have m3 equipment which cant be dealt with even if you drug because they can drug too. At your level its too easy to drug and kill ppl with just one shot..

I wasn't drugging. Only using the supply drop near the building. Point being that Thunder really is most effective when sitting on a hill raining down terror on tanks below. Rio is exactly the same way - whoever controls the hill on the right side of Rio usually wins.

Thunder has been made OP in destruction but UP in reloading. This forces thunder users to restrain from close encounter with the enemy. They (Devs) wanted to make thunder a medium to long range weapon (or a fixed position shooter) so that close encounter be left to hammer.

Honestly, I would much rather hammer never existed and thunder was as it used to be before SDP....

Anyway, I think SDP is unfair, maybe adding a loss to SD would be ok, but losing a kill AND adding a loss is way too much.

Whatever SDP means... sounds like a feature on Thunder I hate. But I agree that Hammer probably doesn't even need to be around, it's a CQ Thunder without Splash Damage. I've been complaining about the SD feature since they added in the part where you get a loss, it's a bad feature...

I can say it is UP, especially for Splash Damage and Reload time. I've been using Thunder for quite some time now, and even I've noticed the differences. I don't like them. My game's have gone from 150% to about 125% with performance, and that's disappointing to me.

Hmm...ever since the update, I've heard everyone say the weapon they are using has gone UP except for twins.  And I don't think twins are in every battle...

Maybe yours hasn't got many MUs? Thunder m4 is an absolute beast of a weapon :)

But the impact force is, meh... i can't knock off people's aim that well.

Depends on who's aim you're trying to disturb... I can still interrupt a Hornet's aim pretty well(It's hornet of course), but other stuff like Viking, other Mammoths or Titan, that's a bit more difficult now.

One thing is definitely weaker about Thunder: I cannot shoot a team mate who has flipped on his side to help them fall back down.

Noticed, I tried helping loads of teammates... had to resort by pushing them somewhere to gain track.
