"Brown" Screen of Death upon Respawn

This is a topic similar to someone else's but I'm afraid the title of their thread won't get many replies.

 

The issue is this:

 

 

I have this issue consistently and it seems it started happening about the time mouse controls were added.

 

Very frustrating, multiple computers, multiple browsers so it's not related to my hardware or browser.

 

The one consistency is that it ONLY happens when spawning after being killed.

 

Anyone else having this issue?

 

Backing out of full screen mode and refreshing will clear it up, but, it wastes a substantial amount of time having to wait to go back into battle.

 

As you can see things get updated such as chat and kills and there is audio but it's as if the video feed gets lost.

 

Maybe a developer can chime in and explain what is happening here? Thanks.

I very rarely suffer from lag with Tanki. Running the speed test gives me 10ms ping. Whenever this happens FPS is 60 and ping is rarely higher than 50-60ms.

 

In fact the issue is so severe with Serpukhov that I had to disable the skybox as well - for some reason turning that off on that map eliminated the random "fatal error" problem I was having, but this issue persists and as I noted only happens upon respawn.

 

The brown screen, however, happens on all the maps I play - Rio, Serpukhov, Polygon, Noise, and Highland.

I tried multiple servers. Tried both EN and RU.

 

If it was a lag issue it would happen at other times in the round.

 

Tried the suggestion using Google's DNS servers - no change.

 

Only when your tank is destroyed and you are spawning - then BOOM the screen turns brown just as it does in the image.

I have this issue for only about 1-2 secs and only when I join a battle sometimes. It isn't a hassle for me though...

Sometimes the brown screen shows up momentarily then goes away. Other times it just stays like that and it requires refreshing the browser and having to wait....

Try using this version of flash player. Note: this works only with google chrome and opera.

This problem happens to me everytime i try to play tanki its not me or my computer because lots of people have experienced this

Notes

- Tested with firefox and standalone flashplayer

- Tested with flashplayer 16, 17 and 18!

- Battle still continues with deaths showing up

- You can read and type in chat

- Your tank never appears in-game and you cannot move or shoot

 

Can someone please contact a dev because this problem is caused by the game it isnt anyones computer/internet fault

I've actually seen that issue you mention - it is not as common for me as the brown screen, but, it does happen to me as well.

Yes, I have the same problem too. I started playing tanki about 2 weeks ago and thsi issue started creeping slowly about 3 days ago.  I can be playing for 2-3 hours with no issues and then it would start happening.  I have a fast internet commections that gives me 60 Mbps down and 12 Mbps up.   I have a single 4core XEON W3565, 8 GB Ram, and a Quadro FX 1800 video card (not the best gaming card but it can hold on its own).  The video card stats show temp around 65 C (seen it as high as 77C on prolonged play > 60 min, Card specs uper limit temps is 90C so it is within limits). Utilization: GPU 30% -70%, Frame Buffer 15%, Video engine 2%, Bus Interface 2%. In other words, the card is not stressed palying this game.

Perhaps the dvelopers can find a solution as it seems that this is not an isolated case.  I do not know if we are the only ones having this problem or we are the only ones complaining about it.  Tanki is a great game and any help is appreciated.

You are right. I tried IE, Firefox and Chrome and I get it on all 3. Perhaps I need to try Opera too. It happens mostly on the Rio, Serpukhov maps which I play the most. It is a respawn issue and I have to go to the Garage and reply no to the question "Do you want to stay in the battle" and then come back to the battle. If I say yes it goes to the garage but it brings me back to the brown screen.  Of course, exiting the battle you lose your position and your score and you wasted your time since you got no credit for the kills and no crystals.  I have tried all the servers and the same things happens.  I am located in the USA and I have never had any lag so far.

I guess no one is monitoring this forum from Tanki as we have not seen an official reply.  Perhaps we have to find a way to contact tech support.
