Come on people, just think of 3 people fighting in DM, two team up... need I say more?

When you come up with ideas you have to think in different situations like 1v1s, uneven teams, full battle, Isidas...

Now think of 36 players fighting in a DM and then players start making teams of 3-4 players...or think of 10 teams fighting against eachother in a reworked TDM.

Well, It's called DeathMatch for a reason, tho. There are TDM's for alliances.

IMO, it should stay as it is as DeathMatch is a DeathMatch, it should not have a team at least from the game side, if you wish to make a team in a DM battle unofficially, you can, but the game should not change the definition of DeathMatch by adding team up features.

Just make teaming ban-able and I'm sure more people would play DM's.

Well, How you will be able to differentiate whether they are teaming up or no :P?

DeathMatch simply means a game where people (or things) fight each other to the death. It doesn't explicitly state that everyone has to be for themselves with no friends or allies.

My turn to be the bearer of bad news, Maf >:D

1st - it's DM, every tanker for themselves. If teaming is such an issue, why make it an actual thing?

2nd - with how you have it set up, one player in their "team" could sit and camp all day while the other makes the kills an dhe'll still be earning kills and points by doing nothing! That's a good way to farm but also a good was to ruin the game economy. But I guess it's sort of evened out with that last bullet point

3rd - And jeez, 10% reduction in damage for each member in the team? So 30% off for full team. Me plus 1st noob is 105, then 10 for the next and 10 more for the forth guy...R.I.P

4th - How will this work for Isidas? Will Isidas heal those in their "team?"

5th - Refer to 1st point.

Well, DeathMatch is a game mode where players depend on individual skills, that's how it is in every game.

I have not seen any extension of DeathMatch where you are allowed to make team officially.

"Normally the goal of a deathmatch game is to kill (or "frag", from the military term) as many other players as possible until a certain condition or limit is reached, commonly being a frag limit or time limit. Once one of these conditions is met, the match is over and the winner is the player that accumulated the greatest number of frags."

You are right, but the idea of this game mode is that every one fights for themselves, and just because you can't enforce an idea doesn't mean you can go against that idea.

Teaming up in DM is not fair play. If you want to play in teams, there's TDM.

Is teaming in DM considered a game violation? Is it against the rules in any way? Why do you call it unfair?

No. At least not yet. But I understand why quite a few players consider it unfair.

Are you being serious?

please just make 4 team mode and discard these awful ideas

But then two or three teams can team up against the other, or others, and someone will say that is not against the rules.

I just left a DM mission incomplete to change it tomorrow..

I always change those unless I get a huge reward from it

I will agree this is a silly idea but it doesn't need to go that far.

Now I wish there was a dislike button for comments.

I'm kidding. I like Maf, he or she is very knowledgeable of the game and a reasonable person.

I'm not sure what the issue with my idea is. I even specifically stated in the first post that if this was to ever be implemented, there would be an option to play normal DM without alliances.

Or perhaps this could be added as an alternative for TDM instead.
