My Impressions on some of TO's Community (2): Hammer

Before anything else:

***DISCLAIMER***

This post is purely for satirical purposes. This post was not intended to berate any person, group or organization, but rather to express in an unorthodox manner of my low expectations for some members of the TO community.

Introduction: I was going to wait a month or so for the next one, but I guess this anti-Hammer craze has started, and for an absurd amount of time. Read the disclaimer, and yes, this is all sarcasm.

I also put this in Gameplay, as I found it more appropriate to discuss a turret in a gameplay section, as turrets are part of the game.

(/s starts now)

Hello, I am Loackie, a regular tanker like you. I hate Hammer too! It's stupidly OP and should not exorcist in this game!

Instead of thinking about Hammer's disadvantages, I will refuse to think about them and revolve my strategy against Hammer revolving around going against the best way to fight a Hammer! Also, it's new, so I can say it's bad because it is different! This is why i don't like updates, because they change the game and make it different.

First of all, it has too much damage! I'm using my Hornet and Railgun and I can't survive more than one or two shots from it! I find it impossible to use my back arrow key, otherwise I will increase my risk of carpal tunnel! Therefore, I, a loyal Hornet user, like all of you should go against this uprising and tyranny of this dastardly money-grab, Hammer!

Also, its reload is too fast! I don't care that it got nerfed recently, it is still to fast to compensate for one of the slowest reloads in the game, and I should be able to beat anybody with ease, because I am using Railgun and Hornet! People in Starladder use it! Instead of timing my shots, I'm just going to run the Hammer into a wall because that makes it easier to aim for me! Therefore, Hammer is doubly OP.

Another OP aspect is the range! I don't care that I paid attention to the V-Log and it explicitly stated that it was going to be a mid-short range weapon, it is too powerful for me! Instead of running away or trying to trick the Hammer, I try to beat it in close range with my Railgun, as all pros do all the time. I shouldn't be dying like this when my combination, Railgun and Hornet is easily the best in the game!

I never thought I would have thought of it later, but it also came in a kit! Twice! I don't care that having a kit doesn't guarantee a win, I just care about the fact that it allows you to get Hammer earlier than you're supposed to! I also don't care about the Bulldozer kit because Thunder, Mammoth and Emerald are not new and therefore, everyone understand how they work, even Sergeants, as I have an alt account at Sergeant Major! Kits like Tornado and Legend are balanced because they are trying to get people into trying "XP Battles", or the only type of battles I refuse to play because I am too good for them.

Also, the turrets were added in for money purposes! I have a theory: they make these turrets in under a day, as admins can magically make gold boxes appear in thin air, so they can do that to turrets and hulls too! You might be asking why they don't release them so quickly, and that's to give an illusion of them working had to release anything at all!

I don't care that sometimes the devs make mistakes and that sometimes they make decent updates, this game is terrible and Hammer is a million times worse than their shrewd marketing tactics that I have the choice to completely avoid!

(/s ends now)

Credits and Afterthoughts:

Thanks for making the Hammer thread full of "insightful" comments.

As long as my computer is absolutely terrible and this game is mostly bug-free i'll still play this game, it's one of the best there is so far.

I'm also most likely missing some things as my low expectations are most likely not enough for some of the facepalm-worthy stuff I look at every single day.

FAQ:

"But we didn't say that" I never said you or anyone else typed that, I said that's what I expected from someone.

I'm going to get screamed at for being a total jerk and that I should be banned for libel, or something like that. Please note I won't even waste time to downvote your post if you do that.

Let's read it, after try aggain.

If you want, I can also talk about kits.

My equipment: Mars(%38 hammer defence)/Dictator(265 heal) and twins/smoky M2

I wouldn't except from me to say that, but I want to say.

This gun shouldn't have been added to the game because It gives nothing special to the game or improve the gameplay.

Shaft is a sniper gun and force everyone to hide and move with checking evrionment.

Railgun does it also a bit, and railgun is the mosr preferred "hit-and-run" gun. Even there are tournaments which can be played just by railgunners.

Thunder has splash damage and great range, also self-damage. This force players to avoid from edges, and also run to the thunder.

Smoky has critical damage, which changes the situation suddenly.

Ricochet can bounce,so can use walls. Which force the enemy to think about walls.

Twins has unlimited fire ability, so it attacks continuously. This manages the area, and also force "clip" players to run away.

Isida is only one healer turret.

Firebird has a "poison" skill. Also he damages all the area which he shoots.

Freeze slows down the enemy.

Vulcan is a great area dominator gun and added a new improve camping. Also, can hardly be knockbacked.

This list is actually a lot longer, but it is okay...

Really, what did change after hammer? Someone annoyed and someone liked it. But did it added something new to gameplay, like vulcan?

What would the game lose If we would lose hammer?

And think this: what would the game lose if we lose railgun, firebird or ricochet?

A week without any shaft taugh me the importance and value of shaft.

This last re-balance taugh me the importance of freeze and vulcan, also.

Also, this last re-balance taugh me the effect of thunder.

But hammer? Hammer just evoked about how annoying the drugging is, which I was already avoke. It didn't added something new as a tactic. Just some combinations of old ones...

Edit: I wanted to write this because I lost a game against a hammer. However, this ideas are though about a month ago, just I hadn't write until now.

i used to hate hammer until i bought jackhammer but then i realized that it has its con's

so just have to be more strategic when facing a hammer the damage was reduced & the angle of the shots was increased

Hammer before the April Rebalance was much, much more annoying the one today. It had a very fast reload, and the range, oh the range, you're still gonna get 2-shotted even from 40 meters away.

But right now, Hammer is much more manageable, although it's still really annoying when up close ~_~

Maybe the huge size of dictator was enough to counteract the widened cone of Hammer's pellets?

I dunno about you, but I could clearly feel the nerf in range, I use Hammer M1/Hornet M1 in my alt.

mkay so let me see...so the approximate distance was about 63.6396m. STOCK Dico (yes, i know it had MUs. but i'm too lazy) has 220 HP, therefore each shot did approximately 44 hp. Therefore, it doesn't lose half of its effectiveness at 60m. This is pre-balance...You claim post-balance has the same results as post-balance. hm.... Is it possible that kay was barely killed post-balance and had to face an overkilled shot pre-balance? It seems really strange that such an increase in spread (5m spread to 6m spread, i think? that's major enough to affect its effectiveness.) would have the same result especially if it was meant to hamper range.
