Negative Paints

The idea is clear!  :)

Why not sacrificing something to get some other things?

 

To get more protection for some guns, you will be weaker for some other guns.

 

For example

 

"Meatball" paint:

 

Price: 300.000

 

Protections:

Firebird: +%50(Max MU)

Freeze: +%50(Max MU)

Hammer: +%50(Max MU)

Ricochet: +%50(Max MU)

Twins: -%100(Damage taken from a twins is %100 increased)

Edit: This will give players more oppurtunity to both attack and defence, also make under-upgraded equipments more effective.

With the new changing equipment system, players will be able to both try to get tons of protections(the refund of sacrificing :) ),

but also try to hit opponents with their downsides(For example: Twins for "Meatball" user).

Player will need to consider both advantages of disadvantages of turrets and hulls, and also will think about paints' advantages, disadvantages and current battlefield situation.

This will also make weak points for all players, which means team games will need more teamplay and strategy, also DM games will be considered not only turrets advantages and disadvantages, also with paints more than now.

As I said, your old weak equipments won't need to collect dust! Even your weak turrets will be able to find a chance to play high battles if opponens paints are supporting it.

This will also make paints "purpose" to be more easily. Which is preventing games from being "monoquipped" and different options will be played, even for DMs.

Also, I think playeers will complain less about druggers, because this will also efffect the game a lot.

Don't forget, big paints means big power and also big weakness!  ;) 

 

Negative sides of the idea:

 

We will need too many new paints, which may make the balance harder.

This might make a "changing hurricane"

Buyers who have a lot of equipment will be a lot effectiver than now.

Clans will be more effective due to more complex tactics.

...why exactly do you want something like that?

Paints always change the gameplay and offers us different kinds of guns and hulls even in the same game mode and the map, right?

For example, thunder generally rules crowded Polygon DM games(on my experiences)

But with paaints, the other guns do this.

 

Or a shafter can dominate Serpuhev CTF until a viking-ricochet-jade changes it.

This will escalate it a lot.

 

 

Also this would be great with new changing equipment system.  :)

So why not to add protection modules such as

50% protection from Firebird

-25% from freeze

 

50% from thunder

50% from smoky

-35% from vulcan

-35% from Hammer

 

and so on. those modules should be cheaper than regular modules.
