I think devs did a great job and with the new version of tanki coming it will probably work better...

Lots of negative feedback on the mouse controls, but please Tanki don't consider deprecating it.

Using mouse controls in Tanki is like patting your head and rubbing your tummy at the same time.  First few times you try, it's very uncoordinated.

Secretly, I am glad people aren't using it.  Gives me an edge.

Learning to steer with the Arrows or WASD isn 't easy at first, especially when driving backwards.

So at the start I can imagine that mouse controls are easier.

The problem with mouse controls is that you play "detached".

It 's difficult to be precise with mouse controls.

You probably would have had to play with keyboard controls for a pretty long time to understand this.

So at a more advanced level the Tankers who (still) play mouse controls will have a disadvantage.

Not much of a problem if you consider the high number of Tankers who come a long way

without even turning their turrets at all...but if you really want to compete with the best players:

go with keyboard controls, soon or even better right from the start.

I don 't agree. Tanki Online is not a real FPS shooter, where you have the appropriate combination

of the mostly used WASD for moving and a mouse for mouseview.

Tanki is an arcade style game, in which you benefit the most from the precision of keyboard controls.

Will it ever be available to Chrome or any other browser?

Or easier to make this exclusive to Firefox.

No, I don 't think they will make it available to more browsers in TO Flash (the current version)

cause it 's hard or not programmable at all in those browsers.

TO Unity on the other hand will be much more a Standalone client game,

so you won 't use browsers anymore or at least a large group won 't use a browser anymore.

In a Standalone client as Unity it 's much easier to implement mousecontrols and

I guess even vastly improve it.

As it is now, it 's much better to use keycontrols: if you are planning to play Tanki for a long time.

Frankly I havent tried the mouse thingy. I have a good right hand and 90% loss of usage of left hand.

I have had some success configuring a joy stick if I get this 100% look out!

I cant get my tracker IR working yet neither I used both these in IL2 46 for several years with a great success seems tanki oughta work on the tracker IR and controller.

A Stuka beats a tank every time.

Well, I tried it on Firefox and it's the sloppiest thing ever.

No really, the whole "Your turret will turn and reach the cursor" is nice and all, but now everything feel sluggish. Like before my Shaft turned slow, sure, but at least you knew it was turning.

Now there's no satisfaction, just waiting for it to catch up.

Mouse controls hurt my eyes, idk.. but it feels much trippier than just z and x. I rotate my turret a ton, so rotating it at less then max speed isn't very usefull for me.
