Which is better... one account or many?

Like many tankers, I have a couple of accounts, each specializing in a particular hull/turret combo. I am wondering if this is a good idea and have come up with the following pros and cons. I am not a buyer.

 

With a finite amount of time to play, using a single account will get you to Gismo fastest.

Using a single account as a non-buyer, you are limited to a small number of items in which you can specialize. Using multiple accounts lets you try multiple combos, but as the first point contrasts, progress will be slower.

Multiple accounts enable maximum utilization of sales, especially on time-constrained MUs. Meaning I can play each account till I can afford new equipment then wait for a sale. Then clean up and save big time.

On the other hand, once at or near Gismo, even a non buyer can afford to start expanding your garage with high Mod equipment.

 

What do you think? What haven't I considered?

 

I have two other accounts. This one is Rico and the others are Freeze/Firebird and Shaft/Thunder. I'm seriously considering stopping play on the lower accounts and focusing on the Rico, a weapon which just keeps getting better...

I think one account is better.

Even if we think that every rank offers different types of gameplays, higher ranks means better players. Better players=Better examples which you can learn your gun or more complicated problems to solve.

 

Generallisimos are gaining crystals faster, so after generallisimo rank, you can already get other guns faster.

 

But If you don't want to learn a gun while using it with M3 version, other accs are better anyway.

You are completely correct. The only thing you forgot to mention is that having multiple accounts means that you can get multiple daily bonuses of them and accumulate supplies faster, although with the addition of Daily Missions this advantage will be gone. Another thing is that you can have referrals, so if you connect all your secondary accounts to the firs one, you will be getting crystal bonuses on your main acc for new ranks on your alternates.

Also I want to add, multiple account can allow you to enter one battle with multiple accounts and sabotage opponent team.

This is illegal, but players sometimes do.

I triple that! Awesome way to earn 15000+ crystals in 60 minute maps. At first just play with your friends random and let other team think they are on winning side after 30 minute place a dummy account... if points go too high on your team.. just stop playing and play with the dummy. Or even 2 dummies after 30-40 minute play if empty spot appears.. easiest way to farm. Of course there it he second method which most clans use - as I take you already know it. And how useful it is. Wasp+flame and equal point killing with team switch modes. Just need to know the difference in game-modes and how they affect crystal base - or if they do at all :)

Thanks but I am not interested in playing multiples in one battle. In addition to being illegal I just don't see it as sustainable since due to rank restrictions you'd eventually have to rank up your dummy accounts to keep up with your high account. Seems like a waste of time. Just play your account and get legitimately good.

That's exactly how I have it done! I have a sort of "web" of accounts, with multiple alts tied to each other, who are then tied to 1 main account. Each one I have tried unique combinations. So far the one combo I love is Wasp with Hammer, and Viking with Ricochet. SO when one account progresses, that's crystals for the account it's tied to! But in the end, my total progress becomes a lot slower. (that's why I'm still a First Lieutenant...  :blush:  )

first get one account to gismo. then play with others. and never, IMO, more than two. it is confusing, distracting and taxing. after getting 1 to almost commander level, I now made 2 more to get better experience with wasp smoky combo. it is fun.

For me , it's better to keep playing on one account because when you have more than one account you can't focus on which one that need more exertion.
