What do you do in your math class ?

Ah yes, sigma notation I believe? If I'm correct, that pertains to what, sequences and series'? Aside from recognizing the symbol and remembering that is involves numerical patterns (I think), I have completely forgotten how to set it up and perform its calculations.

 

The sad part about this, is that I learned this last semester.  :mellow:

This is what I do;

 

1. Chat with friends

2. Text friends

3. Doodle

4. Insult people

5. Hit people with rulers

6. Hit people with calculators

7. Hide people's folders and binders to make em mad

8. Draw on people's binders

9. Chew gum

10. Check my watch to see when school ends (Math class is my last period of the day)

11. Get up to go to the bathroom (when I'm extremely bored)

12. Check my Homework folder for what I have to do

13. Curse at my Homework folder

14. Debate on whether or not to go to Homework club

15. Decide NOT to go to Homework club (95% of the time)

We discussed on how 9 + 10 = 21  :ph34r: .

 

Here's wat we learned.

 

9 + 10 = 21

/ \    /\

3 3  2 5

|  |   |   |

3 5  2  3 (Add (3 X 5) and (2 X 3))

 

so, (3 X 5) + (2 X 3) = 21!

You can't freely switch the numbers in white, since the symbols connecting them aren't the same, so it should be viewed like this:

(3x3)+(2x5)
