Account Sharing

The title itself suggests something against the rules. Well, It is (as of yet).  My idea is basically to allow people to share accounts. The first question that come to one's mind is:

 

Why share accounts?

-> There is no single answer to this. There can be many reasons why one would like to share accounts:

• The art of Gifting - We have an option to buy crystals for our friends, relatives, loved ones ; in fact, anyone we care to gift crystals. SMS . But what about those who can't buy? Should the possibility of gifting only be limited to those who can buy? NO. My idea will allow all players to share account and earn crystals for their friends.
• I know many people who never stick at one game for long. They play all games occasionally. A shared account will be perfect for such group of people. They will be able to enjoy high end equipment without spending hours on the game. 
• Any other reason you can think of. 

Why is sharing accounts not allowed in Tanki?

-> There are many reasons for this. 

• Most of the players on Tanki are children who are yet to be hardened by harsh realities of the world. Deceiving such kids is motive of many vile people roaming about the Internet. Tanki is also not free of them. Of course, account sharing being legalised will lead to increase in accounts getting hacked. This directly leads to high number of complaints to Help Desk asking to give 'me mah account back' . Better avoid such a situation in the first place. But has illegalising Account Sharing actually stopped this? (Food for thought)
• Of course, shared account owners can never enter staff. You just cannot have that. 
• The skill of players playing on shared account is questionable. However, this has no direct relationship with anyone else whatsoever. A lack of skill will just be compensated by high end equipment and over time, all owners of these accounts will gain skills. In fact, this reason is so minor that I am feeling stupid mentioning it at all.

How to share accounts without disadvantages?

-> Now for my idea itself. Why not let people share accounts without sharing accounts?

The explanation is such: In every account people have a friend list. With this idea, people can give their friends sharer status ( or whatever fancy word you would like to give it). The friends can then enter their own account and there will be an option in their account to enter their friend's account. 

Let's take an example to be more clear: 

Let's say that there are two friends X and Y. Player X gives Y the status to share his account and Y accepts. Now, Y can enter his own account and he will have an option to enter X's account from there. He will then enter X's account and play.

 

Advantages

-> Like every other ideas this idea too has its own advantages:

1. In the above example player Y enters X's account via his own account. So there is no risk of giving away password.
2. Y will not have any authority to change password or email. He will also not be able to buy anything from the garage in X's account. This basically will prevent all types of complaints like he bought this item, please return it,etc.
3. If while playing on X's account ,Y gets a chat ban, the ban will be given to account Y and not X.
4. There will be a limit to the number to sharers an account can have. While this doesn't seem to be a distinctive advantage, it will have few advantages from technical point of view. 

 

Additional Improvements:

Here, I will add any modifications to the ideas which you all give ( And which is worthwhile).

 

Conclusion:

This idea might appeal to some and some others might not approve of it. I agree that there are better things to be done and more important issues to be attended to. But I hope that someday, this idea will be given thought to. In my honest opinion, this will stop more than half hacks and blocks because no one else knows your password. Think on it, analyse it and voice your thoughts.

I accept somewhat there is no reason why not to share accounts i hope tanki gives answer why not  to accept sharing accounts in this topic

No. Each account is bound to its personal owner. The rank of an account could not possibly be relative to the skill of the player if this idea were to be implemented. Account sharing has not been tolerated in the past, nor shall it be tolerated in the future. Basically, an account name and the account itself is as personal to the owner as an individual's very name.
