im addicted to tanki and it wont stop.my mother and father always scolds me for playing tanki 24/7.also my grades are down due to extreme gaming :(

Telling you to stop playing is the last thing I will do.

Since you feel compelled to play everyday, play everyday. That's right. But with a small catch, keep a strict time limit. If you think you will not be able to do it, keep a timer on your PC. It will shut down automatically after timer ends.

If you play for 6 hours everyday, start with 5. Once you think that you are satisfied with 5, go to 4 and so on. You have to learn to keep time. If at the end of your time, a battle is going on or even if a Gold is dropping, just close it. You are more important than some virtual currency.

It is very though to do it yourself, so find some distractions. Listen to music, if you don't already. Take your academic books and read them. Try solving numerical questions while listening to music. It feels great and keeps you solving them for hours. Go for an outing with your friends. Play some outdoor game everyday. It will keep you busy and will satisfy your need for entertainment.

Although, everything is easier said than done. Try and discuss this with your parents. They are the only people in the world who care about you and will help you. Hope that helps. :)

Well that shouldn't be the case, gaming should be fun not a problem, U should stop playing 24/7 & find another useful interest that could occupy your time instead & strictly limit your gaming to, say 2 hours then gradually make the time less. What about asking ur parent to literally 'pull you of the pc to help. I do 1.5 hours each day.

I would not say I was addicted as I actually have a life career etc.

but I did play quite a lot in the early days

but now I don't see the point as no matter which turret I buy or how many tanks I kill it will not help me better my current standing

but saying that the ratings update might see me more in active battle. :)

I posted an in depth article of a study by Joe Hilgard.

Social-Cognitive Neuroscience Laboratory, Department of Psychology, University of Missouri-Columbia, Columbia, MO, USA

But it was deleted by administration, siting that it does not have a place in this forum, this forum is for light hearted non informative meaningless discussion and topics of this nature could be damaging to players.

knowledge is bad.

Well, they are correct, in a way. Even though some people might have a deep interest in that sort of stuff, but most of the audience isn't. Discussions on this forum aren't supposed to be meaningless, they're supposed to be enjoyable for everyone. Going deep into technical details is not really something that many people will enjoy reading. Such discussions can easily be held in other forums.

I was addicted to this game for 2 years, along with @FaaiqBilal1 and @l.Epicness. We used to play all day. Then came the realisation that life was more then a video game - We only play on weekends and in the vacations.

Wait what? l.epicness was addicted, and yet he is First Sergeant?

Okay, random but cool Star Wars aside, knowledge is for you to have a good job, do the right choices, etc. And the point of having a good job, etc. is to enjoy life more. But since you enjoy gaming...a little bit can't hurt :-P

Game addiction, any addiction is a serious problem, a problem whose solution is in most cases necessary professional assistance by a doctor - a psychiatrist. Your comment is not funny.

Everything? Did I take everything seriously in this Forum, like Off Topic, forum games, i never puted a smiley...Did I?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You think addiction is a funny thing? When someone spends hours seeking professional assistance by a doctor - a psychiatrist, that is for a joke? When someone is losing her/his real life because of that, when you become overweight, when you need glasses becouse of the screen...Well tell me whats funny in that so I can laugh a little.

Eh, you taking the meaning of "everything" so seriously just proves my point xD

What's funny is that there are multiple levels of addiction and you don't seem to understand that!

(btw, you can put '[hr.]' instead of all those underscores to make a long line :P )

(without the dot)
