Tanki Online Quest - N°9 - Searching Group

Hello dear tankers!
Tanki Online's B-day quest is on! Once again, I am creating a topic so motivated players can share their impressions and we can merge our ideas to find the answers together.

 

For those who do not know yet what a Tanki Online "Quest" is, it is a game and during five days, we will need to solve a series of puzzles and find five key words in order to get the prize. Daily videos will help us to find the words.
 
First do not forget to register on this site. You can register until 21:00 UTC on June 4.
On the final day of the quest, all 5 key words will need to be entered on the quest site as well as your personal code so you can get a reward (everyone will get a prize, at least 50 supplies if you write all the answers on the last day or 100 supplies if you enter the answers each day)

Day 1 (01/06/2015)
1. We watch the first video. Semyons presents us a "brand new self-propelled gun called Coalition SV". During his presentation, he mentions polygon in a random phrase: "However, after some polygon testing, it became clear that..."

2. This, we decide to check Polygon and we find a secret room with the Photoshop contest icon.

3. We scroll over the Photoshop contest topic and find a link on the word "game" which leads us to this picture.

 
4. We can see that the missing turret is Smoky. We check Smoky's wiki page. "M0" is linked to a picture with "The Game" day 1 symbol on it.


5. Everybody can recognize KFC's icon. After a quick internet research about KFC and its founder, we find out that he's called "Colonel Sanders".
 

Thus, we believe that day 1 keyword is Colonel.
 
 
Day 2 (02/06/2015)

 

1. As usual, we watch the video and find a QR code.

 

 

2. The QR code leads us to this page which is protected by a password. Semyon talked about the Warthog's other name, which turns out to be "Thunderbolt" if we believe Wikipedia. "Thunderbold" unlocks the page and shows this image.

 3. After searching through Google Images, we find out this is a picture from a game named "Wolfenstein 3D". We check the map Wolfenstein and find this picture:

 

 4. This is a picture from the players VS helpers event. We check the "Players Draw for the Helpers vs Players battle " video. There is a link in the description which leads us to this picture:

 

 5. We pick up the colored letters. "VcZsrhVcZsrh" There is a goo.gl image. We take the first colored letters and find this URL: goo.gl/VcZsrh. It leads us to the forum, and the word "game" is linked.

 

 

6. The word "game" is linked to this picture:

 

7. We go back to the "Players Draw for the Helpers vs Players battle " video. Under the grey space, we see "Randomizer 3000".

 

 

Thus, day 2 answer is Randomizer 3000.

 

Day 3 (03/06/2015)

 

1. We watch the daily video.

The only thing which we might use in the video is this word inlaid in the video, "steyr".

In the description, we find this weird sentence: "Fi ri Kiar Rwnokw". We find out that it is a code meaning "Go to Lost Temple".

 

2. As we check "Lost Temple" map, we find a clue.

3. We check out the "battle list" update thread which was on the 16th of december.

There, the word "game" is linked to this picture.

 

4. We inspect our garage for a 14% shaft protective paint. Python is what we are looking for, and a dot is linked.

 

5. Python's description links us to a password protected page. We enter "steyr" and the page unlocks, displaying a picture of Spock.

 

6. We find out that Spock is half-human, half-vulcan.

Therefore, day 3 answer is Vulcan.

 

Day 4 (04/06/2015)

1. We watch the daily video. Semyon mentions 5 seas, their initials make the word "Barda".

 

2. We check the map Barda. There, we find a huge "secret" labyrinth leading to a clue.

3. The "30" next to the british video blog icon leads us to the Episode 30 of the V-log. In the video, we find a link.

 

4. The video links us to another video, which shows a code:

 

"0010 0000 0100 0010" -> This code is easy to decode, it is a binary-coded decimal. Each group of 4 bits represents a decimal number. "0000": these 4 numbers mean "8421"

Thus, "0010" means  2 ; "0000" means 0; "0100" means 4, "0 010" means 2. The code means 2042. 

We didn't find any clue in 2042, and there is the game icon on the code picture, this is why we think that 2042 is day 4 answer.

 

Day 5 (05/06/2015)

1. We watch the video. It clearly leads us to a quizz.

2. After filling in the quizz, we have a clue.

Once we enter these coordinates, we find out it is near "Gubakha"

 

3. We check Gubakha map.

There we find a flying wall with the Wiki icon.

 

 

4. We check the wiki. In the first sentence, the word "game" is linked to a clue.

 

5. We find out the clue is about the "Vikings" season.

 

Therefore, the final answer is Viking.

yeah, that's what I like to do too, I usually watch the video, try to look for the reasoning behind the video and when I found the answer/ when I progressed, I come back to this topic and I read russian forum to see what others found :)

I haven't tried any quests before - but I'm afraid I don't quite understand what you actually have to do.

I've seen the video, registered on "the game" page, but it didn't give me any instructions.

All I know is I'm looking for a symbol - in a tanki map I guess?  Or in the video? Or what?

Starting from the video, you have to follow the hints until you found an image with the symbol of the current GAME event (an octagon with a number inside)
